Yeah this list has got to be some kind of joke. I think some random person pulled these cities out of their arse and just tossed them on paper subjectively out of personal opinion rather than using facts.

Kennesaw is and has been at or near the top of the national list of safest cities in the entire country for years. This dumb list has them #10 in the state, which is retarded.

By city law, every resident of Kennesaw is required to own a gun. It's one of the only cities in the nation with such a law. And virtually everyone abides by the law too. Nobody breaks in to homes or robs any banks or convenience stores in Kennesaw because everyone is freaking packing a CC.

So I guess those shootings at the Kennesaw Waffle House a few months ago don't count?

1 incident of a drunk 21 year old from Marietta at 2am shooting out a window of a WH?

So this means Kennesaw is suddenly unsafe and off the list now?

Come on man.

If McRae and Adel are on the list, it wasn't Cummings size that kept it off. The list is just shite.

Yeah still trying ti figure it out. Milton is behind Johns creek, and milton is basically residential, farm land and horse country. They have one strip of an area in Alapahreatta that probably generates any crime and thats mostly DUI's

My hometown: too small to make the cut

So is mine, so I'll have to go with the closest one to it.

quote:

1. Auburn One of the smallest, most intimate cities on this list, Auburn, with just over 7,000 residents, is proud that only 76 crimes were reported in the entirety of 2012, including not a single murder, arson, rape, or robbery—planting it firmly at the top of our list. Other than safety in Auburn, this Northern Georgia gem offers a diversity of residential homes, town homes, and apartments with a beautiful use of green space. This includes five parks with a mix of playgrounds, walking trails, camping, and even the Parks Family Sports Complex. The town has recently enjoyed citywide growth projects such as a brand new library, the restoration and revitalization of its community center, and its current construction of a designated downtown. In essence, Auburn is where old Southern charm meets booming industry and residential development.

Also, I agree that Lawrenceville isn't an incredibly nice place anymore (though the little downtown square is), but that doesn't make it dangerous. Just...overpopulated, as another poster so delicately put it in another thread .

I love that Perry and Centerville is on this list. Being that they are both close to Robins AFB and I actually used to live in Perry, it's hilarious that these are considered "safe". Any city can be "safe" if you live in the nice part of town.

No offense to those who live in places that were named, but I don't think I would call any of the towns/suburbs of Atlanta listed a city.

Clarkston

Haven't seen the list yet, but if this is on it, you can take everything it says with a grain of salt. No way Clarkston should be in the top 250 in Georgia. These people have obviously never been there.

Duluth and Lawrenceville are pretty preposterous, too, as is Johns Creek (very overrated).

Briarcliff/Lakeside doesn't call themselves Decatur.
Neither does Pius.

I have a house there.

Just because they are McMansions does not mean that the doors on the car are unlocked at the grocery store and that the home doesn't have a beefed up security system.

Really? What's the city on your address?Does it say
Briarcliff?Oak Grove?Lakeside? Betcha it says Decatur.

Also, have a house there didn't know you were the spokesman for the entire community. When and if
Briarcliff area gets incorporated then you can call it
Briarcliff.
