Just saw this and wanted to offer my condolences. He was truly a thorn in our side and I only hated him in the rivalry sense. Great man!

RIP Coach Dooley.

Damn.I hope to God it wasn't related to his hospital stay when he had COVID.

My Mom was in her 90's,caught COVID and had to stay in hospital even though she had mild symptoms but unfortunately caught a MRSA in the hospital and passed. She was vaccinated with a booster BTW.

I always looked up to and admired Vince Dooley. He was an expert on so many different things, not just football. What an impressive life he lived. Well done Coach!

90 is a great, long life that I’d love to live.

One of the legends, not just of Georgia, but of the sport.

I got to meet him in Jan. 2020. He was an exceptionally nice and personable man.

Really puts a damper on the weekend. I hope we murder Florida in his honor tomorrow.

I expect there’s a helluva reunion going on right now between Dooley, Munson, and Lewis Grizzard. Rest well, Coach……you were the only coach I knew at UGA for the first 22 years I was in the world.

Back when I was a kid near Augusta before cable tv I would crave any tv event that was sports related. So on Sundays in the fall I would watch the coaches shows on Sundays, Jim Carlen for USC, Charley Pell and Danny Ford for Clemson. Those guys had hosts for their shows usually the play by play guy. Not Vince Dooley, he did it on his own and better. Vince was a great coach but he was much more than that.
