I've already defended Richt as the man who should be the coach of our football team, but I do have a few questions from the game last Saturday.

1. Why did we not wait until the second quarter to try our FG attempt? It just blows my mind that we decided to kick against the wind instead of letting the clock run out?

2. Why did we have 6 men in the box almost the entire game on defense? Doesn't it get to the point where you make their Freshman QB beat you?

3. Why was Bennett the player running the deep route on multiple playactions? Don't you wan't a speed guy instead of a possession receiver?

4. I know we were down 21-7 on our 1st offensive possession of the 2nd half, but why go with 3 pass plays when Chubb is your best option?

5. Why did we not call timeout/expect the fake when their backup holder was in the game?

I know hindsight is 20/20, and the coaches are a million times smarter than me, but aren't those 5 pretty easy things that we should have changed?

We didn't really. They were just spread out more because UF was in a spread. Can't leave receivers uncovered totally. Just got whipped up front.

My guess is they didn't want to run it against Hargreaves, who was covering Mitchell usually. Probably a mistake in hindsight.

#5 that was not even their backup holder (I think it is Driskel) so your question is move valid than you thought.

I really think we should have been more aggressive first half on some of those 4th down plays. But punting seemed like a good idea with how bad floridas offense was. I would have rather put our foot on their throat and go for it but with Andrews out they may have been scared to

They really took advantage of Andrews being out. Did anyone notice what/if any adjustments were made for that? It just seems like they totally dominated once Andrews went out.

absolutely. there were 3 4th and shorts early in the game in good field position. punting is pretty stupid in general, but i get that there are times when you should. those 3 were all times where we should have gone for it.

I saw a couple times they lined two defenders at the line rushing both sides of the center. I guess u call that the A gap and our center had to know his responsibility on who to block.

Really thought Fowler whipped whoever he was lining up against. He destroyed Theus a few times
