your the one who wants UGA to run right at 'em

This is exactly what Bama did to Jarvis and it worked like a charm. Against SC, we should pull an OLineman and go right at Clowney with them and a FB. It's not going to work every time, and he's going to make plays, but after a while that'll wear him out and slow him down. I'd rather go 3 and out beating up on Clowney with 3 guys and forcing him to make a tackle than throwing a bunch of incomplete passes.

Saban even openly admitted that they couldn't stop our pass rush in the SECCG so they decided to run at Jarvis every play behind their big OL. We couldn't stop SC's pass rush...so we just kept trying.

It does seem like that watching the games. It's like we really want to prove how much we can throw the ball. Even when Gurshall is ripping off 5 yds a carry we start hurling it downfield the first time they get stopped.

Dooley used to say that only 3 things can happen when you throw the ball...and two of them are bad.

Booboo has had a bad habit of wanting to spread it out and stick with his original game plan. The mark of a great coach is their ability to make in-game adjustments.

Plus, if dropping back every play is getting your QB killed and you're going 3 and out or thowing picks - at least by running you can get some licks in and keep the clock ticking so you can get the hell out of there.

Jarvis is not Clowney and we don't have Bama's O-line...Yea,and at running at Clowney worked so well for us last year!

As posted. It worked for LSU and UF, and UGA is a better team than those two.

We rushed the ball 36 times vs Carolina...more than we passed...who says we're running away from 'em.You have ANYTHING to back that up?

Really Rattle? Now you're doing the comparative stats/scores thing?A freakin 6th grader knows that compartive scores and stats don't mean jack shite.Using your logic Florida beats us by 5td's this year.

The only person I remember running during that game was Murray...for his life trying to throw some slowly developing pass play.

Now I'm really pissed because I had to go back and look at the stats on that game...uhhhh..

Murray was 11 of 31 for 109 yds. How do you recommend we deal with Clowney? Common wisdom is that you bring the heavies and run it at him. If you don't think that will work, what do we do? Forfeit the game, a longest yard spiral to the nuts, sick Conner Norman on him early,...what?
