Well no shite. I'm talking about scenarios. Like we will beat Ghana and then trip up a Germany who already knows they are through to the next round, etc.

I don't live in Athens any more but I did use tinder last time I visited. Not sure how that worked out. Blacked out and didn't go back to check what was said for better or worse.

A win against Ghana is pretty much a must for us to get out of our group, a draw isn't a death sentence but it would put us in a tough spot. What are we hoping happens in the Germany v Portugal game, a draw or a win by one of them?

I don't know nearly enough about it so I'm simply guessing here...but it's essentially a foregone conclusion that Germany is gonna win the group right? In that case I'd think we would want Portugal to lose to put them on a more even footing with us and ghana. If we're basically conceding that germany is gonna win the group, we might as well have them beat everyone else instead of tying and having ghana/portugal get points.

That's pretty much what I was thinking but I've also seen people say that they want all the non USA games to end in draws because then there is less points given out. Unless some really crazy things happen, Germany will get out of the group so I hope they go ahead and take care of Portugal and Ghana

I get that, but...
since you get points for a tie and 0 for a loss, and we're essentially just competing for the #2 spot, I'd think it'd be more beneficial to have Germany beat the other 2.

Speaking of viewing locations..anyone ever watched sports at Diesel in the highlands? I know brewhouse is like THE soccer place, but diesel looks like it'd be a happening little spot. Never been there though.

Never been. Fadó, RiRá, and Midway were my other spots - Rose and Crown back in the day (1998 WC).
