She worked at Susan G. Komen For The Cure for a few months as Sr. VP of Public Policy and resigned after a few months because of stuff regarding their decision to end and then reinstate funding for planned parenthood. I think she wrote a book about the whole ordeal, but I haven't read it.
Other than that I have no idea what she has been up to.

I don't agree with it either, but at the same time many of them had a forced hand on that issue...the shutdown was a noble fight, but continuing down that road could have hurt them extremely bad in this upcoming 2014 fight for control of both houses...and they held their nose and did what they had to do...if they had tried to stand up to Dirty Harry on that tissue as well, it probably would have backfired....
Kingston is my Congressman. He has 4 or 5 military installations in his district and does a jam up job at fighting for what is best for those constituents that are effected by what happens with those bases...he also responds to me whenever I write him and he is pretty damn conservative overall...he would make a good senator imho...

Well... I'm tired of more of the same. If you have any 'f'ing principle, don't vote FOR an increased debt limit.
That tells me all I need to know. He got his earmarks (there are only 400 representatives... let's buy them all on increased spending with more earmarks). And he gave them his vote.
That makes him a pussy.
The fact that he calls himself a fiscal conservative makes him a liar, too.
I've got no problem with you or your vote.
But it'll be a cold day before I vote for anyone on the wrong side of that issue.

Can we replace the term "against amnesty" with the phrase, "i'm a dumbfrick who will only vote for the deportation of 12 million people and nothing else".
I don't think politicians understand the limited corner that thy paint themselves in on this issue. And because of that, they will waste millions of taxpayer dollars for the next 30 years debating with no action.
I'm very disappointed in my party on this one.
