Anyone had Johnny Walker Platinum? Thinking about buying some but it is expensive. Wondering if it is worth it.

My only experience is with Johnny Walker Black. Not bad at all, but it does not have me rushing out to get the pricier stuff, either.

Started testing out rums, neat.

Last week I tried some Bacardi Anejo to test out the species.

I really liked it.

So I amped it up a notch with Pampero Aniversario (from Venezuela, which is okay now that Hugo Chavez is in Hell ).

It was really good. Rum will be a keeper in my liquor cabinet, I'm afraid.

Hokay. Bought some Duck Commander wine on a lark last night. It's called: Triple Threat Red Blend from California. That's right. Red Blend.

Trying it out tonight and I do not believe I will be buying a second bottle, but it's not swill. Whoever created it did know what they were doing, so it's not Sy (Si?) stomping around on grapes in the swamp and bottling it.

If you're new to wine it's not a bad stepping stone to the good stuff, but it's not going to impress wine aficionados, but I doubt that's the market they are really targeting.

For what you get, it's probably slightly overpriced, but it's not horrible.

Anyway, that's my .02

So .... what was it that fricked you up?

Last thing that fricked me up was copious amounts of Bulleit Bourbon Frontier Whiskey.

I like that stuff too much, so I must be careful drinking it.

Sorry you hurt your appendage, but I hope to heck it was alcohol related and you have a story to tell.

Glenlivet 12 year. fricking dumb, dude. I was literally in the bed until noon. Had to start drinking again to kill the hangover. Tomorrow should be better, but damn, never again. Pushed it way too far.

shite, who am I kidding. It's almost lake season.
