Here is some I had from early last year at my property. Only ones I had on my phone and don't feel like fooling with laptop.

In case you were wondering, it's not your drug induced haze, it's actually a shitty picture.

Or, if it's leased land that you don't manage, go ahead and kill the fricker before someone else does.

I got chased out by two bears last October, south of Athens on public land.

Chased.......like John Candy

Tell us more.

I've had only one black bear encounter in GA, but plenty more in other parts.

9 times out of 10, they take off running the second the know that you've seen em. THe rest of the time, if you stand your ground and stay still, they'll usually move on.

Did you take off running the second you saw them? Wait........... You're from Atlanta aren't you?

Redlands.

I told a local old timer about it, he said call the DNR and report it, DNR said never run from a bear.

I wasn't going to just fricking stand there. I was unarmed. My car was 100 yards away.

It was over by the old rifle range, right on the river, I was actually walking under the old "wire bridge" ruins at the dead end of Wire Bridge road.

The two bears were running across the river, I heard them first and thought it was a herd of deer, then as they got on my side of the river and started making land noises, clump clump clump, I thought it was humans, like millegeville mental patient escapees in a big hurry and about to break through the brush about 15 yards down the trail, so I decided to yell out "Hey There" so I wouldn't startle whatever wretched humans were about to emerge from the river growth, and at that moment two very large black bears emerged and turned towards me.

The trailhead back to the parking lot was about 5 yards from me, and about 15 yards from them. I ran right at them and turned left on the trail and never stopped or looked back, but when I got back to the lot, which if you are familiar with the area is basically right there, I fumbled with my keys to get in my vehicle like a victim in a horror movie and I could hear them making a big ruckass as if to be coming to get me.

My only other two bear encounters were in North Georgia while camping, never saw them but knew they were there, one of them sniffing around camp in the middle of the night. Cohutta. Could have been sassy, but I'm pretty sure if was just a little black bear looking for beenie weenies and stems and seeds.

I used to do a lot of long-distance hiking. Like really long distances. And the worst wildlife encounters I've ever had are ALWAYS in the government's "National Parks"....... Where pasty-faced tourists come to these "parks" to feed and taunt the wildlife from their mini-vans.

Ironically.........the feds also make it illegal to carry a firearm in these wildlife insane asylums......where tourists feed black bears funions and sandwiches.....and throw rocks at them.....and turn them into mutant pissed off junkies.

The longest night of my life in the woods was in the Shenandoah National Park....after seeing bears all day. I saw one while I was setting up my tarp. I saw one before dinner and one after. When I finally fell asleep............................I remember waking up. Not like how you normally wake up from time to time in the middle of the night. But.....how you wake up, wide fricking eyed 100% natural instincts telling you that something is VERY VERY wrong.............

So, after listening for 30 seconds or so...I simply clapped my hands together a few times............And it sounded like a herd of buffalo immediately next to me in the dark took off through the woods high-tailing it. Was more than two bears for sure. This I know.

Well good luck man, that's awesome! It's a great hobby and there's no other feeling than when you drop a deer, especially that very first one.
