Frankly, I'd be shocked if they aren't working on this already. And at the least, if it looks like having that repealed is going to be too much to accomplish, I could see this scenario playing out.
Remember the executive order Obama signed that granted him the authority to take over all major media outlets in the event of a crisis? What's to stop them from adding an addendum to the 22nd stating that it would jeopradize the country's stability too much to change leaders in the event of a crisis as well? And when you have the media in your pocket, just how hard would it be to cook up a little "crisis" to avoid an election in '16?
Bottom line... we are fricked. Big O can pretty much do whatever the frick he wants and, aside from taking up arms and staging a full scale revolt, there isn't shite that we can do about it.

They are. Pretty much every congressional term, some Rep will propose a bill to repeal the 22nd. They never get anywhere, though. Not sure if anyone proposed it when Bush (II) was in office, but Clinton and Obama both got them - none have made it out of committee.

The government is behind this. Anyone who can't see this is not paying attention. Way too many shootings close together for it to be coincidence.

Well, they were mentioned, just then they were considered a tragedy whereas now they're being used to bolster all the anti-firearm politico's agendas. I linked this here right after it happened because it was in Atlanta and at the time the details were still very vague. But why I linked it and why it's being blown up in the media as Columbine all over again is totally different.
What worries me the most is the apparent 180 by the press/major media in their view of politicians and politics in general. They used to remain either neutral or tend toward the critical side of things. Now they're like a bunch of damn puppets who will obviously just roll over and spin any story to better suit their masters upon command. And the real problem with that is the the public at large will swallow anything they hear on the news as the gospel truth.
