So is Aaron Murray's play the reason we lost? If so, please explain.

I said that the team won't win big games *because of* Murray. He just doesn't appear to be that kind of guy. He'll play hard, but he won't be the driving force behind the win.

bullshite.

You said, "Was there ever any doubt?"........

No, what I said in response to the comment "same old same old" was: "Was there ever any doubt? He's a known quantity at this point - he is what he is. In the big games, the rest of the team will have to win it for him. In the rest of the games, he'll be good."

Words occur in a context. The context, which you are patently unable to grasp, is the rest of the quote - which you always omit.

quote:

I don't remember,

There's part of your problem, right there.

quote:

but were you jacked up before the game fired up and excited when the future was uncertain...and filled with promise????

Was I looking forward to the season, yes. Was I expecting an end result somewhere between 8-4 and 10-2, yes.

I've never made a secret of the fact that I'm not a big Richt fan. He's a good enough coach to usually come away with a solid winning record, but he seemed to hit his ceiling a good while back. His teams have the same problems year in and year out; he either can't see them, or he can't see how to fix them. Donnan improved upon Goff, Richt improved upon Donnan, and it's probably time for someone else to be given the chance to improve upon Richt.

Same thing with Murray. He may be many things, but he just isn't a big game quarterback. No problem with that - few are. It does place an upper limit on what he's likely to achieve, and the team with him, though.

Look man I don't really care about stats. I only care the win loss column. Murray is a talented guy, but he doesn't have the clutch gene. He leads from behind. He isn't the only reason we lost that game though. Combine his play with questionable play calling at times, poor execition, terrible o-line play, a lack of discipline leading to unnecessary penalties and you've got a recipe for a loss. You have every right to like Murray, but I never have and never will. He doesn't have that IT factor.

All of this, and we were still in a position to knock off the number 8 team at their house.

Thank you, Gurley

I've been pretty critical of Murray over the years in big games but I really don't see laying that loss at his feet. Was there more he could have done? Of course, but the same could be said of any player, on any team, in any game. Dude had a great game against a top ten team in a very hostile environment.
If any one person/ unit is to blame, it is Grantham and the D. When an offense scores 24, they have done their job. Barring pick sixes or ST scores, if you lose beyond that it is due to crappy D play. JMHO
Best of luck with the rest of your season, maybe we can meet you guys for another thriller in the Dome!

Where the hell did anyone quit on this team? What world do you live in where you're not "allowed" to be pissed off when your team loses. Find anywhere in any of my posts where I screamed to fire anybody.

Do it.

You can't. Or do you not take the time to read what people are saying before you start with the bullshite?

Truth of the matter is you guys get more pissed at other fans who dare to criticize the coaches when they do stupid shite than the coaches themselves. Its actually a pretty disturbing type of hero worship. You should get yourself checked out.

I'm not really blaming Murray I just don't think he is clutch. A lot of things cost us that game.
