The OP said Georgia history, not college football history.

Seems like to be one of the 2 or 3 most dominant players in Georgia history you'd also have to be one of the most dominant players at that position in college football history.

The film guy stole this topic today.

Walker and Bowers are modern era locks..

You can’t have a Mt Rushmore without Frank Sinkwich. Brought UGA from very average to a national powerhouse. Won the Heisman… should have won it twice. Got a Natty. One of 4 players whose jersey was retired.

Butler

While Butler is remembered for all of the long kicks (and for being an '85 Bear plus the long career), Blankenship was statistically better.

Different eras with far different offenses and opportunities and I'd take
Butler over Blankenship 10/10 times with a game on the line.

There's a reason he's the only kicker in the CFB HOF

Look at their percentages, not total numbers. Blankenship had higher percentages on PATs, FGs, and touchbacks.

They didn’t call them QBs in 42, but the Heisman winner and guy with his number retired would be my vote.
2300 rushing yards. 2300 passing yards 60 TDs with 30 of each.
