I wasn't slamming Bobo brother. Just saying that Gurley is a 10-20 year player.

I was just making the point that just because I don't post much I've been around as long if not longer than anybody else but go ahead and show your brilliance with your witty posting, oh yeah I can spell douche as well!!

anybody with any sense can see that bobo sucks when it comes to situational playcalling!!
He had a bad night, yes. But as a whole, this is not true.

Ok a couple of thoughts.
Gurley does rip one up the middle but it gets called back. We continue to attack the middle and Carolina shuts that down. But we still keep attacking the middle.
Finally we start attacking the corners but Bobo starts calling runs to the short side of the field. Carolina defenses those plays well. Gurley through pure athleticism cuts one back to the wide side and gets a first down. Why the frick do you handicap Gurley by tossing to the short side? I mean I could see a quick toss to the short side but those plays weren't as quick developing. Just some things I'm nitpicking.

I used to be a huge bobo critic but I can't argue with what he's done the last few years. Imagine our record the last few years with a pedestrian offense and that "defense" we brought onto the field under Grantham. Yea Murray was part of that but who coached Murray?
I just think Bobo's desire to get cute with play calling just pops up at the worst times. Thankfully it's much less common these days. In a way tonight reminded me of the 07 USCe game where Moreno was playing well and we started throwing more and more to Wilson and Chandler.

Regardless of what some on here think I'm not "bashing" bobo but in critical situations he makes some calls that defy logic. Yes our offense has set records under his leadership but would you rather have records or would you rather have a guy that knows what his bread and butter is? The ball should have been in Gurley's hands!

No one will argue with you about that. One possession however, does not make a game. The defense lost this game, not Bobo.

3 points off 2 turnovers inside our territory is what cost GA the game.

Bobo has been successful and a very good playcaller no doubt, but that last series was painful. I'm sure he would admit it right now, Richt admitted it too. Every once in awhile he just kinda out thinks himself. Maybe worries too much about what the D is anticipating or something, who knows. That opening drive was phenomenal. Was surprised we never came back to that wr screen. but Gurley is just so good, have to realize he has 3 tries to gain 4 yards. Even if you announce the play you gotta like his chance to get that one.

I agree and for most of the game the d did everything they could to keep USCe in the game but when they did finally come through the offense HAD to capitalize but didn't, that's all I'm saying

ya the defense really struggled most of the game. What hurt was just how wide open most plays were. Let thompson get rolling with just making easy throws.
But kinda had to expect this a bit. Their O line was very impressive, neutralized our pass rush the entire game. We have young guys, former walkons and lots of inexperience in the backfield. They really struggled tonight. I fully expect them to improve a lot throughout the year though.
What killed me was the holding call on the Gurley TD. That was a big early play on a very questionable call. Really a lot of mistakes throughout the team (and officiating) that gave that game away. On the bright side we have a lot of room to improve and I think we will. Can still be a special year potentially.

Bobo overthinks. 1st and goal and you have the best stable of RBs in the country, toss sweep til they stop it. Don't help your opponent out coach you.

When he called the dive play to Hicks, did you think Bobo was stupid for nor using Gurley? When he put Michel in for that pass play for a TD, did you think Bobo was stupid for not running Gurley?
One call didn't lose the gme. The overall weak defense all game long lost the game.
The defense will likely improve over time. Can't say the same for your attitude.

No shite. Usually playcallers look better when they have superstars playing for them. See for example: every "great" playcaller ever.
Score 35 points on the road and blame the loss on the OC. Only Georgia.
