The ACA does not prevent Mizzou from insuring its grad students. It restricts them from subsidizing the purchase of on-exchange health plans. Mizzou retains the right to increase their grad students stipend by the same amount, but they chose not to. They could also offer the same health plan options of other employees at Mizzou, they didn't do that either.
This loophole that the IRS is exploiting was not directed specifically at grad students, but that is who it is effecting. The legislators need to fix it and Mizzou should simply increase the stipend to grad students to account for it, at the very least.

Funny not because the KKK part turned out to be yet another bullshite hoax, but because this mother fricker lied and tried to pretend that he was working with the fricking National Guard, state troopers, and MUPD on it!!!

A bit of an over simplification there Jeff, but maybe nuanced situations are not in your comfort zone. IMO some things in ACA were good, some things were not and need to be changed. To say the govt has no role in regulating the healthcare industry, whether it be from a care delivery or insurance perspective, is just ignorant.

I also like how his instructions for dealing with the KKK's invasion of campus was to stay away from windows....

If it goes like most Klan appearances, there will be about 8-10 klansmen and 500 people protesting them. It's comical that they even get trotted out as a threat anymore. They're pretty much the Swiss Navy of boogeymen at this point.

The truth IS simple.
And so I don't see the point of looking up all the chapter numbers and title and sub-title numbers and sections of the provision addendums of the appropriate subpart title chapter numbers, provision sections, and amendment subpart preamble index numbers for you……….that reference the tens of thousands of dollars in fines that miZzzou would have to pay per grad student under obamacare just to be able to provide the same coverage they provided prior to it.

Fair enough, Jeff. If your point was limited to hunger strike boy, and not some over-arching comment on govt regulation of healthcare as a whole, then I will stand down. Hunger strike boy was indeed negatively impacted by obamacare.

Squatch, they may or they may not. Most projections show the govt making money on student loans, taking account of projected defaults. Of course, if you are inclined to believe the economy is going to tank again, or even further depending on your perspective, they may very well lose money. But, the projections as of now are that that the govt is going to profit on them.
