For you youngin's, know that Michael Dyer is no joke... I always thought he was better than Lattimore.

I didn't realize Dyer was with Lville now. I'm much more nervous about this game knowing that.

Thanks for putting this preview together Cherokee. You've got me slightly interested in this game now.

You did a good job.

Lattimore LINK

Dyer LINK

Other than Lattimore's huge games against us (their fans called him the Dawg Whisperer), his numbers were quite average.

I believe he and Dyer were both the #1 and #2 running back prospects out of high school, and neither one really got to prove who was better because of Latti's injuries and Dyer's criminal behavior. As I said before, I think Dyer was/is better.

Defense, They are ranked #6

So their boys get CTG defense, while UGA couldnt figure it out, so I read on here back when CTG was still around.
Like I said back then, UGA was to dumb to figure out a play book
But glad CTG is gone

Poor delivery, but the man has a point.

I understand where you are coming from, but also remember that most of these players had the benefit of playing under Charlie Strong, who is one of the best defensive minded coaches in college football. I am not trying to discredit what CTG has done up at Louisville this season because he still had to switch systems 4-3 to 3-4 and the player still have to execute his schemes, but the notion that Louisville's success is solely a result of CTG going up there and "coaching them up" is a false one.

The group that CTG inherited was a very talented one and he does deserve credit for the being able to translate that talent into success, but at the same time he is not a miracle worker and turning water into wine. The bottom line is that CTG walked into a very good situation at Louisville and seems to be taking advantage of the opportunity that was given to him.

Their defense is filthy because Charlie Strong knows how to develop defensive players better than almost anyone in the country. Grantham is a good defensive line coach for sure, but his schemes are built for NFL players, not college ones.

You mean the schemes his college kids are executing very well this year? Or the schemes our players did well with in 2011 and part of 2012? Dude can coach. He probably just didn't fit in well with Georgia culture. When he arrived, he was full of piss and vinegar and looked entirely motivated. Then some old lady complained about his cussing at a game and he looked like someone cut off his balls after that. I kind of feel bad for him.
