Definitely watch:

Breaking Bad
The Walking Dead (you don't have to like zombies, just watch it)
Lost (skipping to the end screwed you up. watch it all the way through, THEN you MAY get it.)

Is that a sci fi type.show? I'm not really into those.... hell I've never seen star wars! I just don't do the space stuff. I like shoot em up shows. I.e. Boardwalk Empire, Sopranos etc.

That's a fair enough viewpoint, but in the same way that someone said The Walking Dead is about people first, and the zombie element is secondary- BSG is a military series first and foremost. It's about a carrier full of soldiers and pilots, a collapsing government and an outside threat bent on genocide.

There's no laser beams or aliens in rubber masks. True enough, there are robots, but they actually worked to keep that to a minimum. You could transpose the characters and story to the last surviving aircraft carrier and 99% of the content would be unchanged.

In other news, Hines Ward's agent is a baller, apparently. He was the guy in Dark Knight Rises running with the ball as the football field collapses at the stadium.

Hell, I've watched the entire series 3 times and Im still kinda "lost". Also, like LOB said, check out Wilfred. One of the strangest things Ive seen on TV but it has some hilarious moments.

If you've not watched Spartacus, you have missed out on an incredible series. Good thing is, you can go back and watch it from the beginning on Netflix. The other shows y'all mentioned are really good too, the walking dead being premier among them. One other show that just started, the Following, on ABC is the bomb!

I've about reached the point to where I'm gonna totally wire the house with ethernet and cancel cable. I don't watch much anyway and with a solid net connection there's plenty out there on Netflix, Hulu, Espn, etc. I could probably cover all the bases with a good internet connection. Some of the TV content is really good.

I'd love to tell time warner to suck it!

If they'd find a good way to watch live sports events in HD, I'd be totally down with ditching traditional paid TV for Huly/Netflix/Crackle, etc.
