Anyone hear that he has interest in the job if CMR is fired? Well he is according to Paul Finebaum.

Wouldn't hate it, but why in the hell would he leave FSU? UGA is at best a marginally better job.

I was wondering where all the Jimbo speculation was coming from

Agreed. Only thing I can think of has been said by Crow and others. FSU doesn't have the pockets we have and he is miffed about something involving the airing of his divorce and FSU being stingy on his contract extension.
He also lost one of his better coordinators, to us, because FSU didn't pony up. Or because Pruitt banged a student. Idk, but it isn't a stretch to say FSU doesn't have the cash to compete.
I still can't see it. I'd like to see UGA go after him and or a Brian Kelly at least. Even a Patterson or Briles. Just to give it the college try.

Don't see it happening, But he does whatever it takes to win. Would be a home run hire.

I can't figure out how to link a tweet but I've see. It in several places and he says that he is definitely interested if the job comes open. I'll believe when I see it.

Rapes, domestic violence, fights, players beating up women in bars.
Do we really want that atmosphere at Georgia?

If it wins titles then sure

I don't think Jimbo would plan on bringing a sodom/Gomorra atmosphere to Athens...

Jimbo would be the absolute best case scenario.

Are you fricking kidding me he's the frick child of petrino and pitino. We would never touch him

Jimbo could get together with his ex so that players might get an extra benefit if he's hired.

Notre Dame offers up daughters, not old ladies. He's going to have to up his game.

It's pretty well documented his cold relationship with his AD at FSU

There's a common thread among most "proven" college football coaches.
They're assholes. If Georgia's going to fire Richt, it has to be OK with that.
ETA: I'm not advocating bringing that stuff to Athens, but most good candidates are going to have some skeletons in the closet.

People want their cake and they want to eat it too. I think too many in the fan base have been conditioned to turn to this bullshite moral high ground we cling to because, well, there is little else to cling to when it comes to talking to the more successful SEC programs. My guess?
If mean ol' Jimbo Fisher came here and turned our program into a whore-mongering, puppy-kicking, alcoholic, women-beating program AND won a national title then pretty much everyone would be fine with it. The same people who are afraid of losing the "Georgia Way" would absolutely drop this stupid notion. Do we really think we are different fans than other programs who defend their coaches and staffs with "less" moral fiber? Nope. They just have titles and we have our little moral victory to trot out there.
That's what pisses me off about this argument. The people who rail against the idea of losing the "Georgia Way" would be the first people in line to take a picture with the national championship trophy.

Jimbo Fisher is not the answer. We'd still get out coached by the heavyweights but then we'd have Jimbo's program shame to deal with.

I agree. My preference is for a HC who has proven himself as someone who can "do more with less." I like the ilk of the Fuentes & Hermans better.

I'd love either of those guys but yall do realize that Jimbo has lost only 2 games in 3 years right

Yes with immense talent in a weaker conference. There are far worse choices out there but I'm not sold that he would be the guy for our job.
