Question #10:

Are you under The Path of Totality? And if not, will you try to be?

I am not on the path to Totality, and I don't plan to be because it isn't real.

Shits going to be big time here in Cola. I'll post some pics if I'm not too busy shooting zombies.

Judging from my conversations here with the locals I expect millions to be blind by the following weekend.

Nice... I live just south of Lake MURRAY so we get about 2:40 of totality. It really is a once in a lifetime deal and it's nice to be right in the path. Let's just hope he weather cooperates.

Yes

Probably not, generally when sheep head in one direction I head in the opposite one.

This from a young woman who looked at the sun too long and 3 days later ruined her sight for life. If this is an IQ test seems simple to protect vision for life vs a few mins of on the chance it effects your vision for life.

The damage caused to the eye is called solar retinopathy and it can give you a permanent blind spot -- the longer the exposure, the hotter the retina gets and the more likely the damage.

Hwang says the total solar eclipse is unique because it can deliver a lot of energy to the center of vision, even when things seem kind of dark. Hwang says most people normally would not look at the sun directly, but may not be as hesitant to look at a solar eclipse because it isn’t as bright (and it’s more interesting).

“There’s a simple solution: Wear the special solar eclipse safety viewing glasses to protect your eyes or use a pinhole projector,” says Hwang. “And even with the special glasses, don’t look at the eclipse for a long time. Sunglasses won’t cut it either – they are not nearly good enough filters.”

I feel this will be at least one of you on that special day tho…..

Or, I don't know, you could just like not like stare directly at it. And like just experience the once in a lifetime far outness of there being three minutes of nighttime in the middle of the day.

Aren't you suppose to be at recess anyway. jfc

Which is why I included the viewing box picture to help folks view it with no real threat. I have a feeling most of those "glasses" will be from China and it will be too late to realize you bought a scam pair instead of a good pair.

I admire your persistence, cheesegrits, but it's impossible to score lower than zero on an IQ test. I'm sorry.

Like any IQ test is absolute. Just look at zero in the first place

Zero Fahrenheit is one zero
Zero Celsius is one zero

My room is a balmy 273 degrees right now in Kelvin if Kelvin used degrees. I can go negative in fahrenheit or celsius and survive but pretty sure if I just get to zero in Kelvin it would be meat popsicle time.

I admire your offbeat humor, just wish you appreciated mine. What is your IQ BTW?
