That picture was taken about 3 seconds after the tip. He was turning to the corner and the defender was facing the sidelines when the ball was thrown. Besides that, MM said in a post-game interview that he had the corner.

Dude, scroll down to 2nd VIDEO (not picture) click on the arrow and you'll see the play shown 3 times (once in slow motion) it's called a replay.

The Bama defender was all over MM, and MM was closer to being out of bounds, than in the endzone. He probably would have stepped out of bounds if he caught it. If not, it would have been an incomplete pass and UGA may have been able to run one more play. It is what it is.

Murray should have spotted the coverage and taken it upon himself to throw the ball out of bounds. Sometimes the player has to also be the coach and make the better decision.

I really don't blame AM...I just can't stend CMR/Bobo telling us that they "had the play they wanted called" they clearly did not. Bama knew exactly the play we were going to run or maybe they guessed correctly...if they had attempted a pass to the middle of the field (which was wide open)I could see CMR being justified in his statements.

Actually Bama didn't have to guess. There was only one player in the endzone, Mitchell, covered by 2 defenders on the side where Murray telegraphed the play. My problem with the call other than a fade having a small chance of success is Murray basically only had one option in the endzone. Murray should have rolled to the right to force the defense to defend a run with a RB trailing and Conley cutting back into the endzone and a TE up the middle. On a TD play like that you want as many options as practical; we had 1. Conely wasn't a viable option since he was also covered and wasn't in the endzone. It was just a terrible game losing call IMO.
