Then I guess we're somewhat in agreeance. You can't have a top basketball program without putting in the effort from an administrative standpoint.
Still doesn't mean Fox is the guy, even if we were more serious about basketball.

done it enough. People don't understand Georgia basketball apparently and they probably think this is a bad team. A terrible time to melt is also after losing a road game against a ranked team.
I think most have demonstrated an understanding of our program. This team ain't bad but it's only good enough to be on the NIT bubble.

A fairly talented team that's 11-8. That's bullshite!
Fox is a horrible recruiter. His inability to lure the Atlanta AAU players to Athens really hurts. UGA overall struggles to get buy-in from big time players. We couldn't pay a post player to come to Athens (save Maten). Fox says frick it, let's offer a bunch of combo guards and shitty small forwards.

Look on the bright side of life, folks: baseball season begins in just 2 weeks or so....

So you want to compare Mark Fox to Bobby fricking Bowden?
Note that I said I don't expect him to be Bowden. But Bowden is a great example of a coach taking literally nothing and doing great things with it.
To be Bowden a BBsll coach would have to take UGA to a Duke Kentucky level. I am not looking for that, but with the right coach I think we can do much better.
7 years is a very large sample size, and I just don't see the program changing that much under Fox.
However, your point about Fox essentially operating with his hands tied behind his back due to lack of support, $$, etc from the admins is well taken.

not an elite coach, but he has turned the program in the right direction

he gets another year or 2 and deserves it.
Kind of a pattern with UGA coaches, innit?

Not sure who we could replace him with any how.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
