We come out up 24-20 getting the ball back. We have 2 rbs averaging 6+ ypc and 1 at 5+ ypc. With Stetson struggling. You do not put the game in his hands, you run the ball. Then you run it again and again. McIntosh had 2 carries..... that's just ridiculous. We ran the ball 12 times in the second half.

How dare you even suggest we should have run the ball more in the 2nd half!

Do you not realize how bad we were running on 3rd and short vs
Arkansas and Tennessee?

Yes,this is the logic a person used on here when I brought up the same point.

Why do you think we didn’t run every play?

The coaches ran the ball 9 times to 5 passes in the 3rd quarter.
I dont get where people think we put the game in Stetsons hands.

That is 65% run:pass ratio. That is our todd Gurley/nick chubb ratios.

Normally when we lose a game in the second half with the exact same ratios, the bitching is that we were too conservative.

Bama held the ball for 11 minutes and 33 seconds in the second half. No one gets the ball enough when we dont convert 1st downs and we dont force the ball back from the opponent.

We passed the ball 5 times on 1st down in the 3rd qtr with 2 completions and a sack.

We were effective done at the end of the 3rd qtr.

Monken didn't have a bad gameplan at all and there were guys running around open all night but he didn't have the QB to execute his plan and we were playing against an offense that needed to kept on the sideline. We couldn't stop em especially with the way the officials were calling the game.

If we didn't put the plan in Stetson's hands who did we put it in?

Frankly we gave them hell for 2.5 quarters just like when Fromm was here.

Not bad for a walk on who was getting no help from his wrs.

WGAS about giving them "hell?" We

closer in '17 and '18.

Your thoughts are as coherent as my sister at a phish concert.

I only count 3 pass attempts on 1st down in the 3rd quarter. First was a 2 yard sack. Second was complete for 14 yards. Third was incomplete on a first and 15.

If by passing on 35% of our third quarter plays, you think we arent asking Stetson to be a game manager then I dont know what to tell you.

It sounds like you just are angry that Stetson is the QB and that any time he has to make a decision with the football is too much for you to emotionally handle.

I wish the game turned out different. Bama beat us in the trenches. QB play absolutely hurt us. But this one was lost at the line of scrimmage.

Glorified scrimmage, would rather win the next meeting.

They were always ahead of us o...

Really 2-3 plays was the difference and I expect us to greatly improve before the seccg.

Get home with pressure, run the right route, catch everything you get both hands on, and throw no ints, I think we win.

We put stetson in a bad situation...keep running the ball and make it easier for stetson. He will be fine rest of the season...

Burton got a ball ripped out of his hands on a crucial third down catch on the first drive in the second half. BAMA defense was coached to bully him, they saw he got ripped during the UT game. He needs to hit the weights in the off season obviously.

Play by play 3rd qtr

5 passes on FIRST down in the 3rd qtr. Most folks with your arrogance are at least correct a SOME of the time.

God almighty,we passed the ball 40 times and ran 30 but you wanna
cherry pick the 3rd qtr? I haven't double checked your numbers so they're probably not correct.

Here we go again. Zero merits on your points and this is what you come up with? Typical

I stated previously that we can beat Bama if we play em again even with Bennett at QB but not with putting the game in his hands and not with the way the game was being officiated.

Que meansonny with another batch of insults and zero substance in hiS response.

ETA: Once again, wrong on the 35% number regarding the 3rd qtr.
We passed or attempted to pass 9 outta 17 snaps. You really need to stop pulling numbers outta your arse on here.

He's a freshman receiver facing elite, experienced competition for the first time. That stuff is going to happen.

This was my biggest problem with the "blame the receivers" faction last year. People don't want to let freshmen grow into themselves. It's expected that they will make mistakes, but you play them both because of what they can contribute now and what their growth through experience will lead them to be.

I think Burton has been excellent. He's gotten better every game.

Why didn’t we just run the triple option the entire third quarter. We know how much that bugs Saban & Co.

Considering who Bennett is it wasn’t as bad as it could’ve been. I don’t think may of us thought we’d win the game. Bennett is what he is., beating Alabama in Tuscaloosa isn’t something we’ve done....maybe once? Doing with a walk-in QB who is 5’ 8” tall and has under thrown receivers and been lucky not to throw more picks was asking too much.

The issue is our top ranked recruiting ain’t paying off. We have a walk on QB. Recruiting is only on piece of the puzzle. Managing players and egos is another. I don’t have any answers but our QB situation was bad in 2018 and worse now....far worse.
