It's fun for nostalgic purposes and the fact that you can drink beer while playing games, but it can get expensive in one night.

Live, from Adult Chucky Cheeses

They were somewhere near the stuffed-animal claw-grabber machines when the mushrooms began to take hold.

Samson’s Seeds said something like “I feel a bit lightheaded, maybe you should take my turn….”

But, Christopher couldn’t hear him over the terrible roar of an invisible flock of huge bats that were chasing him. He was on his way to the motorcyle simulator game to try and drive away from them. He frantically dropped a token in the slot, and hit the gas..

“Holy Jesus! 20 more skeeball tickets and I’m getting that god dammed stuffed lady bug!”, deeprig9 yelled into a salt shaker.

The waiter was walking toward their table with a nacho platter and another pitcher. Their appetizer had arrived…

To be cont'd...

Dave & Busters is ok - not earthshattering, but usually decent. Beats a poke in the eye with a sharp stick, as the old-timers used to say.

That's actually a pretty interesting and astute observation about the arcade. Back in the day (80's) we had a Buster's which was a restaurant and cocktail place, and a Slick Willy's was located next to it with pool, pinball, arcade games, etc. It was a happening place and a lot of politicians used to hang out there given its proximity to the capital. Went there many a time.

These business owners of those two places got together and launched Dave & Busters. LINK

It's a good experience as far as sports bars go. I'm getting old so I like my living room a bit better.
