Jacob Park QB - Mobile, Typically only makes one read, never avoids contact, has a big arm and great measurables and throws accurate passes on film.

Lorenzo Carter OLB - Explosive, athletic, great speed rush on pass rush, looks lean and relies on his athleticm.

Sony Michel RB - Has a knack for wanting to bounce everything outside. Has great hands and good vision. Doesn't have amazing top end speed but pleny of speed and sometimes shows burst.

Nick Chubb RB - Tough, initiates contact, good vision and cuts, suprising burst out of cuts.

Malkolm Parrish CB - Aggressive, great speed, not a very good tackler, likes to celebrate a bit. Plays the pass very well and looks like a ball hawk.

Isaiah Wynn - Aggressive, Nasty, Very mean run blocker. Loved his film and looks great. Great addition to the OL.

Jeb Blazevich - Lanky, Good hands, runs crisp routes like a reciver. Will need to bulk up and learn to block. Could be flexed out as another reciever.

Keyon Brown - Has so many pass rush moves. He doesn't rely on his athleticsm and uses an array of moves to keep the qb under pressure. He also is great at tipping passes. Loved his film.

Dyshon Sims OL - Not the mauler of Wynn's caliber but looked solid. Had good technique and held up well on passes.

Kendall Baker OT/DT- I didn't like him at DT. His body looks like a big tackle and thats where I think he belongs. Looks like he had great range but doesn't have great speed but has nice size.

Shakenneth Williams WR- Looks alot like Tavarrus King to me. Runs great slant routes and catches the ball with his hands. Very solid looking WR prospect. Loves to trash talk.

Isaiah Mckenzie WR- Looks like a ping pong ball when returning kicks. Explosive speed and his hesitation and start back up speed is insane. Should get a shot at KR and should be a huge upgrade in that department. Also looks like he has a future at slot WR.

Shattle Fenteng CB - Very underated prospect. Has great size. Looks back for the ball when it's in the air. Has very good insticts and is very physical. Nice DB addition for depth or could push for PT early.

Rico Johnson WR - Blazing Fast. Had nice leaping for a smaller guy. Possible PR/KR but doesn't have the same cutting ability as Mckenzie. Probably needs some seasoning. Looked really raw and played a lot of different positions.

Detric Dukes LB - Sounds LB, nice size, nice speed, can jump for a LB. Only negative is he is not your big hitter type but more of a prototypical LB.

Jake Edwards OG- Another mean mauler white boy. Doesn't have the same ability as Wynn but with a few years in Strength and Conditioning he will be fine. Looks like a future player to me.

Dominick Sanders S/CB - Lacks big time speed. Probably had the worst film overall. I guess his versatility was his best assett. I can see why he got a late offer.

Shaquille Jones S - Long, Rangy, Loves to hit, nice leaper. Underated guy that I really like. May need to bulk up some.

Hunter Atkinson TE - Talk about a late add that I love. Nice size, nice hands, nice leaping ability for a guy that size. His route running is terrible but everything else is great. This guy could turn out to be really really good.

Gilbert Johnson WR - Nice size, nice leaping ability, good route runner. Doesn't jump off film just a solid guy to add to the rotation. Looks like more of a redzone option on film but always seemed to get behind defenses.

Good information but mixed reviews which I expected. We just don't seem to get enough key players who can take us to an elite level. Case in point:

quote:

Jacob Park QB - Mobile, Typically only makes one read, never avoids contact, has a big arm and great measurables and throws accurate passes on film.

Translation: he's a statue back there who will go down as soon as there's any contact. Missing on Deshaun Watson was huge. A dual threat QB who can extend plays and make plays with his legs is exactly what our offense has been missing and is the ingredient that has taken teams like Auburn to the next level.

quote:

Lorenzo Carter OLB - Explosive, athletic, great speed rush on pass rush, looks lean and relies on his athleticm.

Obvious next level player but needs to learn techniques to get off blocks.

quote:

Sony Michel RB - Has a knack for wanting to bounce everything outside. Has great hands and good vision. Doesn't have amazing top end speed but pleny of speed and sometimes shows burst.

Nick Chubb RB - Tough, initiates contact, good vision and cuts, suprising burst out of cuts.

Both solid RB's but apparently neither have elite speed for their size. This is what separates Gurley from many RB's; when healthy he has amazing speed for his huge size.

quote:

Malkolm Parrish CB - Aggressive, great speed, not a very good tackler, likes to celebrate a bit. Plays the pass very well and looks like a ball hawk.

Music to my ears.

quote:

Isaiah Wynn - Aggressive, Nasty, Very mean run blocker. Loved his film and looks great. Great addition to the OL.

Happy Day!!

quote:

Jeb Blazevich - Lanky, Good hands, runs crisp routes like a reciver. Will need to bulk up and learn to block. Could be flexed out as another reciever.

Another skinny receiver who can't block. I would like to see us get bigger WR's who can block.

quote:

Keyon Brown - Has so many pass rush moves. He doesn't rely on his athleticsm and uses an array of moves to keep the qb under pressure. He also is great at tipping passes. Loved his film.

Moves are nice but you need the athleticism to go along with it to finish plays. We will see.

quote:

Dyshon Sims OL - Not the mauler of Wynn's caliber but looked solid. Had good technique and held up well on passes.

Sounds like our typical OL; good a pass protection but not not athletic enough to be a good run blocker.

quote:

Kendall Baker OT/DT- I didn't like him at DT. His body looks like a big tackle and thats where I think he belongs. Looks like he had great range but doesn't have great speed but has nice size.

See above.

quote:

Shakenneth Williams WR- Looks alot like Tavarrus King to me. Runs great slant routes and catches the ball with his hands. Very solid looking WR prospect. Loves to trash talk.

Does not sound good.

quote:

Isaiah Mckenzie WR- Looks like a ping pong ball when returning kicks. Explosive speed and his hesitation and start back up speed is insane. Should get a shot at KR and should be a huge upgrade in that department. Also looks like he has a future at slot WR.

Now this guy seems like he's possibly the elite receiver we have been looking for since A.J. Green. *fingers crossed*

quote:

Shattle Fenteng CB - Very underated prospect. Has great size. Looks back for the ball when it's in the air. Has very good insticts and is very physical. Nice DB addition for depth or could push for PT early.

Just what the doctor ordered for our Secondary. He looked kind of lanky in his pics. Hopefully he has the agility to stay with elite receivers.

quote:

Rico Johnson WR - Blazing Fast. Had nice leaping for a smaller guy. Possible PR/KR but doesn't have the same cutting ability as Mckenzie. Probably needs some seasoning. Looked really raw and played a lot of different positions.

Reads like work in progress. The speed is great but an elite receiver needs elite cutting ability. This is what separates the covered vs the open receivers.

quote:

Detric Dukes LB - Sounds LB, nice size, nice speed, can jump for a LB. Only negative is he is not your big hitter type but more of a prototypical LB.

Sounds like our typical LB; good but not great. Will be bowled over by elite RB's.

quote:

Jake Edwards OG- Another mean mauler white boy. Doesn't have the same ability as Wynn but with a few years in Strength and Conditioning he will be fine. Looks like a future player to me.

God is good.

quote:

Dominick Sanders S/CB - Lacks big time speed. Probably had the worst film overall. I guess his versatility was his best assett. I can see why he got a late offer.

Translation: another mediocre player in our Secondary. Will probably rarely be on the field.

quote:

Shaquille Jones S - Long, Rangy, Loves to hit, nice leaper. Underated guy that I really like. May need to bulk up some.

Another lanky player in our Secondary. Might be a red-shirt candidate but we need so much help in our Secondary that it seems unlikely. Hopefully he bulks up and becomes asset sooner rather than later.

quote:

Hunter Atkinson TE - Talk about a late add that I love. Nice size, nice hands, nice leaping ability for a guy that size. His route running is terrible but everything else is great. This guy could turn out to be really really good.

Sounds like he doesn't have the athletic ability to make clean cuts in routes and no feel for finding openings in the field. We do need a fearless competitor with leaping ability over the middle. Park is tall enough to make those quick passes over the middle to a tall leaping TE.

quote:

Gilbert Johnson WR - Nice size, nice leaping ability, good route runner. Doesn't jump off film just a solid guy to add to the rotation. Looks like more of a redzone option on film but always seemed to get behind defenses.

Reads like a possession receiver. We need those. Hopefully he can hold onto the ball.

From what I've read and seen, Park is considered a dual threat guy. He's fast and can make plays with his feet. I think the assessment Floyd was making was that he doesn't have the pocket awareness to avoid sacks OR he scrambles and puts his head down to receive more contact. I'm excited about this kid. He's a definitely wildcard but he's got all the skills....and a chest tat.

Jeb is a tight end. He's a change of pace from the large TE's like Rome and Lynch. Flexes out more.

IDK, I like what Floyd said about him. Anyone that reminds you of King is good in my book. King was one of my favorites.

Isaiah will probably be more of a Ace Sanders type. He's only 5'8" and doesn't have the size to be an elite wide out. He'll be deadly on bubble screens, slants, and punt returns though. Really excited about him. Really excited.

Hey, I will take an Ace Sanders type any day of the week. Sounds good.

the Chubb and Michel hudl's I watched, I came to the same conclusion. Chubb looks alot more like Todd Gurley while Michel is like a poor man's Keith Marshall, but without the speed. I fear he'll end up being a mediocre running back in the SEC.

With Gurley and Marshall right now, we are spoiled. No one should have two backs this good...

Now if we can add Taj Griffin from McEachern next class, running behind Chubb, we'll be spoiled again.

Also, watching McKenzie's hudl, I agree with your assessment, the fact he's a 4 star on 247, and one of Sony's team mates and good friends, I'm a little surprised we offered him so late.

It makes me wonder if Sony was wavering a little and we offered McKenzie to close the deal.

One thing fo sho tho...IMac ain't no Cootie Harrow or Nate Theus...

I can see IMac winning games for us as a returner or running the jet sweep...

Sony Michel is not like Keith Marshall. That comparison is very flawed. Sony Michel's game is a about balance, vision, cutting ability, and short range burst. Marshall is about pure speed

Weird how two people can watch the same tape and come to such different conclusions.

Part of the problem might be that I watched the Chubb and Michel highlights back to back, Chubb first.

I've watched him play two complete games against two of the best teams in FL. You miss a lot in that highlight film. Sony runs way more powerfully than people give him credit for. His best attribute is shedding tacklers.

Part of the problem with comparing Chubb's tape to Michel's is the difference in competition level.

Sony should do fine in the SEC. I don't think he will be a 1500 yard Gurley type but paired with Chubb it should be a good enough duo to be very good and very dangerous. Michel was said to have had more burst and speed at the Under Armor practices than he had shown all season. I only went off of what I seen on his hudl but he was listed as one of the East Top Performers every day and had a very nice play in the game.

Too early to tell. I've really only seen Chubb's highlight film. Really excited about both though. We're spoiled

Glad we have Brice...doesn't sound like Park will challenge him much imho...

This, out of all the recievers he looked the most polished and used his hands very well. I liked what I saw. He won't be AJ Green but will do just fine for us IMO.

Has all the skills but should redshirt and sit and learn for a few years. Has all the tools just has to learn how to use them consistently. I also didn't like the fact that he never slides but that will be coached up.
