I get where you are coming from, but as others have said the extra practice time that we will get is much more important than the result of the shitty bowl game.
I really just wish somebody in a position of power would acknowledge that the Little 12 threw a hissy fit about a potential Nebraska-KState match-up and that is why we are stuck with this shite sandwich. I know it won't happen because it is not PC, so whatever

However, Bowl monies are split between all 14schools of the SEC. we NEVER lose money on bowls
Each bowl payout is split into (in the case of the SEC with 14 teams)16 shares. The bowl team gets 2 shares and the SEC office and each other team gets one share. Obviously the higher the payout for a bowl the more that team gets, but even Flarder and Kentucky will get bowl revenue. I don't think this has changed in recent years.

Actually Bill Snyder pitched the fit and forced Nebraska out. Back in 2003 K-State was mauling Nebraska and near the end of the game the Huskers were putting the scrubs in, but Snyder put his first team offense in and drve for a late TD in a 38-9 win. Supposedly Pelini confronted Snyder after the game and politely (in front of the K-State players) called him a sorry a-hole and some other choice words.

I'm pretty sure it's because of the ACC director pitching a fit over duke going to ATL. That messed everybody down the line up.

It's split evenly after the individual team gets a lump sum from their bowl. For example Alabama will get a few mil from the Sugar Bowl then another sum from when they split the rest 14 ways.

looked into this and it would appear, as far as bowl payouts, I'm wrong..TV moneys are shared more evenly, but the participating schools do get a cut + expenses before the rest get some share. The conference office also gets a share so when teh money is split, it's split 15 ways.
