Agree, if a qb is really that concerned with injuries, the nfl would not be a place for them.

He won't make in the NFL and probably won't get drafted

Kirby Smart and Todd Monken think that Stetson Bennett's the better QB. Guess you know more about it than they do. You should be head coach or at least offensive coordinator somewhere.

Most everyone that claims JT is the better QB cite his mediocre numbers at USC, his hype after transferring to UGA, and his record against three bad SEC teams in 2020.
It appears that HC Kirby Smart and OC Todd Monken have decided otherwise, but many here obviously know more than them.

I always thought he was taking about Arian Smith. He was out for weeks because of a bruised shin.

I don’t think he can criticize JT or the coaches with what we know. Hopefully we find out more next week. There are a lot of options on the table. The fact he hasn’t even gotten mop up duty tells me the situation is not your normal QB1 and QB2.

That, and lack of mopup even for Beck or VDG has puzzled me.

If the other 2 guys come in ahead of JT, then we know he is hurt or not playing.
If he mops up after Bennett, he is QB2

If it is neither, we are left to guess.

We've had tons and tons of mopup time this year, tons, more than the average year. Backups all over the field in 4th quarters, but not at QB. The whole thing is odd to me. I guess the easiest answer is that coaches knew Stet was QB1 but still needed every possible rep to get better. Maybe it's just that simple.

I think Beck got extra pouty after the last round of not getting his way. Brock (from what little accounts we get) behind the scenes has not been good. QB situation next season is definitely a cause of anxiety right now, but let's get through Monday with a win and then see how it shakes out.

I don't know anything about it. The coaches are clearly very good at what they do and they see these players daily. I trust their personnel decisions more than I trust my ability to tell a fart from a shart and I'm like 99% right with those.

Another Housewives of Atlanta style fake. Even the language ("So I really believe this bro") smacks either of a lame attempt at attention-seeking or the work of an idiot. Or quite possibly both.

It's funny how many of these are contradictory. For example, one of the other "friend of a friend of a friend" rumors posted here was about JT begging to go in during the SECCG but Kirby supposedly saying "no" because he's been pissed off at Daniels. (Yeah...that's a believable account) )

I think a lot of truth will be coming out soon...possibly as soon as the next couple of weeks when the season is officially over. It will be funny to then see how many of these "inside scoops" had any legs.

I'm not sure who "we" is but the idea that he's refused to play due to "milking an injury" is one of the more lame rumors. It also contradicts the other rumors about wanting to play.

If there were disagreements about his medical status, it would have been much simpler for Kirby to say he was out or "questionable" for rest of the season...thus ending the endless speculation.

The interesting thing is, the back ups were coming in for mop-up duty earlier in the season, but that stopped happening after Stet took over and the season went on .

Possible. But, if so then Stet should have been throwing more in the 2nd half of those games instead of handing off. Only Justin Fields can get better by handing the ball off.
