I've posted about this before. There's 2 things that could happen if we wear black for bama.
1) We win. Great! We've "exercised the demons". It will be forgotten by the rest of the country in a few weeks.
2) We lose. We will never, ever.......EVER hear the end of it. It will be brought up for decades.
The rewards simply don't outweigh the risks. It has nothing to do with being "scared" or anything like that...it's just not logical from a risk standpoint. And this isn't even taking into account the fact that jersey color doesn't matter for performance. We lost in 08 because they were a much better football team. What if they're a much better football team than us this year? There is really just no need to wear black for bama.

No way were they talent wise, but they had superior coaching and vastly supperior S&C programs in place.
I think (hope) all those gaps have closed between the programs now and we won't need a gimmicky mouse in our pocket the next time we see the elephants.

We wore black against uf in '09 and got bushwacked too...edit...black helmets, black britches and white jerseys...

Yea those abominations don't count. The black jerseys from 07/08 were glorious and we are 2-1 in them.

This is what I mean. All this analysis and superstition over jersey colors. You've already lost when you start breaking it down like that.

That's because those "other teams" have zero tradition...
The alternative uniforms just gives the opposing team even more motivation to beat you. You don't think that Bama got an extra kick out of creaming us while we were wearing those black uniforms?? It acts like reverse motivation for the other team.

you really think the opponent wearing an alternate jersey gives extra motivation for winning a game? So a team shows up and kinda wants to win, goes through the motion a bit. But then their opponent comes out in a different colored jersey and now they really wanna win! Think all that talk is over rated.
