I'm from the Statesboro area. There are a lot of UGA fans. There are more UF and FSU fans than GT fans

How about "The Shadow Bowl" since they are both in the shadow of the Dawgs.

Yea, but idk. That guy clames they hate thUGA but I'd say of the many GSU grads I know half root for UGA. Another 1/4 are indifferent. Only a small portion I have met hate Georgia and yea, it's because they're in the bitter barn. They either hate how they couldn't get in and Georgia grads are kind of arrogant about that and or Georgia fans regard GSU football as it should've been, FCS.
I used to truly dislike GSU because of the very few people I knew like this but most have simmered down and we all cooperate.

I agree to an extent. In my experience with Southern fans ... it is split 50/50. Some hate UGA with a passion, some love UGA. The ones that hate UGA are pretty irrational about it though, truly hate UGA for no reason other than jealousy I guess.

It is truly a phenomenon. Its just blind hatred. When asked for reasons...there really are none that make any sense. Usually confined to "UGA fans are the worst" or "Ive always hated UGA"

I was in Statesboro last week and I found as much Dawg stuff as GSU. Very pro-Athens there. Hell, the Federal Judge has red & black tile in his chambers. (Was there for a contractor Site visit, not on the business end of the judge).

The "Not talented enough to be DAWGS" bowl.....
I would bet that the majority of people in Statesboro who are associated with GSU and hate UGA do so because they were not admitted to UGA....I know there is a strong element of that at Georgia State and Kennesaw State and there is a lot of the same sort of animosity toward Georgia Tech at Southern Polytechnical State University, or Southern Tech....

In 1997 Georgia was a 20 point underdog to Florida and won by 20.
