Refs blew the call either way. If it was a pass, it didn't cross the LOS so should have been a penalty. If he was across the LOS then it should have been an illegal pass.

Good point. If it was an incomplete pass, it didn't appear to cross the LOS and there was no receiver there. Doesn't make a lot of sense...

I don't think they can call a subsequent penalty. They ruled it a fumble, so the fact that it was overturned doesn't lead to a penalty. Bad rule though.
