Through a stroke of luck Mrs. Squatch, myself and the kids are going to be near Athens with the Grandsquatches and were thinking of going to the G Day game. I haven't been so I need some advice...

Do you need tickets or do you just show up?

Should we get there early? Any chance for the kids to meet some players? UGA? If so, when should we get there?

Parking?

I have to take in account two little guys and two 70 yr olds so any tips on seating, walking, etc. would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yes. Tickets are $20 a piece, I've got 8 I'll do for $50 if you want. Let me know and I'll set it up where you can pick them up at the gate.

Maybe canned goods, but no $$

No need to get there early. Not sure about player accessibility

Parking?

no much of an issue

If its sunny and hot, the shade spots will be at a premium but sit wherever you want

Usually an Alumni flag football game prior to the G-day game, good shot for the kids to get some autographs from former players before the game, buy a program & hang out behind the benches for the alumni game, also after the game too for current players. You can also try E. Campus after the game (where the busses park) for current players autographs...

The Book store will be open pre/during/after the game for purchases...

2 - 2 1/2 hrs. early & you should be able to get a spot in the "railroad lot" on E. Campus & it's an easy 1/4 mile level walk (down the tracks if you want) from there to the Reed Alley/East Endzone entrances on the North sideline/East EZ lower levels...

Get there early, take your time, explore the Bookstore/Student Center/North Campus area...

It'll be low key & if you miss a few plays by being a lil late or leave a few minutes early when the kids or the oldsters get tired, no problem...

Have fun...

Me and my dad went two years ago and were going to look at the practice facility just to waste some time before the game. When we got there we walked right up to the indoor facility and Richt was giving a speech to what looked like recruits(but im not too sure about that but he was selling UGA hard). We just kind of hung out like we were supposed to be there and saw all kind of players. You can always head that way and maybe get lucky like we did.
