Why would you use up a 1st rd pick to sign Revis? CB is one of strenghts of this team plus you got an All Pro coming back to the lineup next yr.

Far more pressing needs on this team.

Because Revis is the best corner since Deion and Grimes is a free agent. It was just a thought. Not likely to happen. See first scenario for something I think could (and should) happen

Is Asante still here or is his contract up?

I think Asante is still here. And scratch the Revis idea. He wants Mario Williams money and that would handcuff Atlanta's salary cap for awhile.

I like Lacy in the first, TE from florida in the second. Would go defense from there. Sanders Cummings would be a steal late as a safty. Mayby bama tight end around 5th round and Corn Washington will surprise people as a 4-3 end in the 7th round.

I don't want Lacy first. Not a bad RB, but we need pass rushers.

The ND and Stanford TE's wouldn't be bad pickups, the UNC RB, Lacy, Monte Ball or Lattimore late wouldn't be bad at RB. There is some major talent on the front 7 on D in the first 3 rounds so hopefully we find a stud there. CJ Mosely LB out of Bama wouldn't be a bad pickup, great playmaker with a nose for the football, also that Minter LB from LSU, had a few 20 tackle games and isn't getting the recognition he deserves so we might be able to steal him. Shawn Williams would be a badass steal. I could go on and on about the defensive talent in this years draft.

Agreed. I don't want a RB in the first at all, and unless it is Lacy, Taylor, or equivalent, not in the 2nd either. Also do not want a TE any earlier than the fifth round if we draft one at all. Better idea, provided TG does leave like expected, is to hold tight or grab someone in FA and then do what it takes to get the Washington TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins in next year's draft.

I want a very D-heavy draft. If we can get an absolute steal on the OL somewhere, then do it, but otherwise fix the glaring weak spot on this team. A couple of DEs (one big time guy and one project), a couple of DBs (S taking priority), and fill the rest out with LBs. Fit an OL, RB, and/or TE in if a steal falls in our lap. Would rather address those issues in FA considering what it looks like will actually be available around our picks in the draft. We should have enough picks available to try and address at least one of those positions on O, though.

There will be no premium pass rusher there when we pick. TD usually doesn't hit on shite after the second round and never after the third. Biermann would be the biggest counter argument against that and that was 5 years ago and he is far from an impact player.

His biggest scores have come from FA which is where the help has to come from this year.

This draft is deep in the OLB/DE posistion. It is time for TD to finally hit on some late round sleepers...blind squirrel/nut syndrome.

One Mock draft I saw had Coons taking the TE from Notre Dame to replace Gonzales. Also would love to get Lacy I think he will be an excellent pro. With Turner on the way out, no way to go into next year with Rodgers as the feature back.

So assuming TD wants to draft a young DE and bring in another veteran, would you rather sign Avril or Freeney? (Consider Osi out due to $$)

Alright ill start us off.

Id take Freeney. His last few years have been rough but a change of scenery just might spark his arse to one or two great seasons.

Freeney definitely, probably not too many years left but he could have a pretty big impact.

If you see a mock draft with the Falcons taking a TE in the first round, that person is a complete moron and you should discredit anything and everything else he has in his mock.

Falcons have 2 priorities 1000x greater than anything else... pass rush and RB, with pass rush ahead of RB.

However, the only reason we still might pick RB first is if Gio Bernard is still there at #30. If he's not, we'll go DE or DT and try for Lacy, Ball, Ellington, or Barner in the 2nd round at #60 pick.

At least one of the TE's Fauria, Escobar, and/or Toilolo should still be on the board at our 3rd pick. All 3 are 6'7+, run 4.6-4.7, and are pass catching redzone threat TE's.

We have Palmer for blocking situations and Coffman is actually a damn good receiving TE. He'll be 2 years removed from injury and I think we'll lock him in. Dude won the Mackey award for a reason. He was the best TE in the draft the year he came out and then injuries totally screwed him. He's got incredible hands and runs great routes. He just needed to get healthy, get back in shape, and get his speed and confidence back. He just had a year of witnessing Tony Gonzales too. So watch for him to become something for us.
