We have talent. We might not be loaded at some skill positions, but we have enough to at least compete with UF and Ole Miss.......more than enough to to beat Vandy and Nichols St. handily. I think the picture's become pretty clear, Chaney is not the guy. A good OC can scheme around deficiencies and at least make an offense competitive. We were totally inept yesterday. I had zero confidence that we could move the ball after the half. We were still trying to run inside the tackles after time and time again being unsuccessful at it. Where were our tight ends? No toss sweeps? No screens? When you're beat at the LOS, you have to get creative. Chaney's creativity consisted of dropping back on first down, a couple of times, rather than all of the third and longs. Our offense was predictable and lethargic. UF's D Coordinator had to be chuckling inside.

If Kirby is to survive, he has to find an OC after the season. The sooner the better. I was told that we'd hate Chaney. They were right.

Our OL got trashed no matter what we were doing. Our wr's drop passes no matter what we were doing. No scheme can fix that. Clearly.

If you can't catch stop throwing it deep in the shadows where it's harder to catch it. If you can't block stop calling runs up the middle where our jv o line has the most trouble.

We have tried just about everything, and the guys still drop passes and still miss blocks.

If that were the case there would be only one scheme.

Every scheme requires that your OL doesn't get its shite shoved in every snap. There is nothing for UGA to call. The OL can't move anyone or hold their ground in pass pro. The offense is going to suck dick no matter what.

This idea makes no sense.

Makes for a simple mantra at practice, though: Stop sucking!

So youre saying its a S&C issue?

Who did Kirby hire there?

They arent adapting their scheme to the personnel.

Which is a sign of a bad coach.

So, we should change offenses as the personnel changes year after year rather than recruiting personnel to run the offense Smart wants to use on a consistent basis.

It's just odd that all the O lineman just all started to suck this year. We are just really unlucky.

They sucked last year too, and then the best one graduated.

I thought we showed promise Saturday. We showed improvement.

But, Crow. Last year everybody was saying how bad Theus was. "Underachieved. Awful! Shouldn't be playing!" Now he was our best OLineman?

Last year we did mention that we needed more OLinemen, but nobody was saying they were useless and awful.

The OL and wr's have talent problems.

Kirby needs to upgrade these areas quick. We win when we catch the ball and lose when we don't. We have NO offensive identity.

IMO, that's because he was the most notable one, and people tend to misdirect their frustrations.

IIRC, Georgia led the nation in TFL allowed last year. They were awful.

Actually, I agree. I always felt a lot of vitriol aimed at Theus was unfair.

That couldn't have been because NOBODY was respecting the pass, could it? I mean, if you KNOW the other team isn't going to throw the ball, you can crash the LOS easier and get a lot of those TFL's. Particularly after Chubb went down.

So, you like little boys..thats weird.

People that put words in your mouth suck, dont they.

I didnt say we should change offenses, dumbass.
But in this situation, where you arent going to have the players for your scheme, a good coach would adapt and put the existing players in the best position to succeed, until you get the players you want, in.

This staff hasnt done that.
