I hope he's ok. Maybe just had something personal come up. He's a great color guy IMO. Love Shock but he's better at the sideline duties.

I like Eric Z, but I don't like him as a color commentator.

Zeier is solid and brings some real insight, but I just wish he'd break the habit of saying "boy" before every point he makes on the radio.

"Boy! Georgia really brought the pressure on that one."

"Boy! Great throw by Carson Beck there."

Yep. Heard it on Dawg Radio on the way back from the game. Said he finished 3rd in the 40yo+ group a few years ago and is in the 50yo division now.

Why, because he went to an event?

People all the time take off work to go do things they really want to do. Doesn’t mean they hate their jobs

Pretty sure that’s the type gig you work your time off around given you only work for 5 months.

Also, he’s probably only doing that job for fun though I’d imagine. I’d imagine his contract is for a game by game basis or something like that that can accommodate his wants.

No. The commentators said that tongue-in-cheek. They later said it wasn't true. Later in the game cast or maybe it was in the post game they said he had some family emergency and couldn't make it.

Well that sucks. I preferred the surfing excuse.
