Doubt he would have been on an OV less than a week ago if he wouldn't have gotten in. Sounds like sour grapes to me.

There is no way someone who didn't get into Georgia and Auburn would get into Southern California.

I think the hypothesis there is that USCw is a private school and can admit anyone they damn well please. UGA and Auburn don't necessarily have that luxury (or shouldn't, anyway).

While I believe this rumor is total bullshite, I do think something happened. This situation stinks. No idea what this kid did, but no way he goes to USC if something wasn't going on...both AU and GA needed the kid...its close to home...its SEC....

No idea what happened but rest assured, it wasn't because USC was more attractive

I don't believe the rumor is total bullshite. Do I know why he wasn't granted admission? No. Do I think it was because of grades? No. Someone put their foot down due to something else IMO.

Look at the kid at his ceremony. He looks almost depressed. Something went down behind the scenes that he caught wind of unreasonable late.

I understand that, and I could be wrong, but I don't know if I buy it. Georgia and Auburn have met some dumb, dumb kids into their programs. And USC is under a spotlight.

my total bullshite was in reference to it being a grades thing....not a denial of entry. should have clarified

He won't last long out there. He'll get homesick and this will be another Bryce Brown fiasco.

That was my thinking. Plenty of kids don't get into the school they wanted but that usually doesn't result in them going across the country to a whole different place and environment. This has bad news written all over it

That was the other rumor. That he got into some sort of trouble. Something was odd about the entire thing.

If and that's a big if, that' the case then we don't need his troubles; we've definitely had more than our share of high profile players with off-field issues.

I cant speak to any admissions issues, but it sounds like this kid has a really rough home life. I know that's not exactly rare, but there are different levels of rough. Tee Martin got in his ear about going to Southern Cal where he can start fresh and play ball and that can be a powerful message to an 18 year old kid. Regardless of any other issues, I could envision him listening to that pitch and taking it to heart.

Best of luck to the young man.

I love UGA. Love college football, love Athens, and love everything about the dawgs.

but

I simply cannot blame a kid wanting to go anywhere in california for their college years. Can't blame them ONE BIT.

Yeah I almost didn't come back to GA after spending 4 years in Southern California. Hell, I'm only talking about the views and weather, I couldn't imagine being a single college football player. Drowning in it.

If he's going somewhere else, at least it's out of the SEC/ACC

Did you read that? It looks like it was written by a 14 year old. That was not a DM from Kirby.

That was my first reaction. That doesn't seem real AT ALL. If it is, it's fricking embarrassing.
