I thought he was the number 1 high school QB (not nbr 3). Is that because he's already declared and the other QBs have not thus giving more 'pub' to the ranking companies?
Meaning, once you declare, your ranking tends to go down?

Not always. I think anywhere 1-3 is throwing darts for rankings anyway. There is no clear cut #1 this year

In a way yes. But 247 composite has him number 2. That's the most reliable ranking. Second would be 247's actualranking in which Eason is #1.
A lot of the QbS commit early nowadays. Could be the case if uncommitted guys get ranked higher but i don't know if I see that with Qb's.

Partly...but he also didn't have the best showing at Elite 11 camp, mostly due to his WRs dropping the ball, but still effects the ratings.
