Early game adjustment on defense

Noted it appeared the LBs were dropping more and getting in the passing lanes where they had success on the slant routes early. Also what looked like safety doing some robber like stuff. That and the pass rush seemed to really take Mertz off his rhythm. I may be wrong as I haven’t had a chance to watch it again but noted it during the game. Either way, we shut it down pretty much after first series.

After first series, they shut it down. Not too bad to have co-D Coordinators.

First series is always scripted. It seems if executed well with no mistakes it almost always results in points. It also seems UF blew their wad on that drive and we just got down to business. Dumas-Johnson did seem to be playing on his heels a bit and it showed some when UF ran the ball between the tackles.
