Just read it on DawgNation. Very happy for the kid and could surprise everyone when/if cleared.

I’m quietly very hopeful about this kid. He looks like AJ green playing QB

I'm on mobile. It's not letting me post the link for some reason.

I love D'wan. That guy is a stand up kid. I was standing by the field after the SEC championship and I see this tall lanky guy running by and giving every single fan a high five and thanking them for their support. Every other player was dejected and ran of the field as I would have done too. Couldn't be happier for him and I hope he turns into a great QB

If he's able to find success at QB in Athens, that would be an amazing story.

Wait, there was a doctor on here that said he would never play again?

I think so. But there were 2 possible procedures that may have been done and the reporting hadn't been good enough to make a clear determination which was which.

There was one in Los Angeles who told Jarvis Jones he'd never suit up again, too.

I believe that's what Dr Dawg was saying and he was pretty adament that D'Wan was done

Here is what he said:

quote:

Brain abscess is known complication/sequelae of frontal sinus infections. And you don't give antibiotics for a simple cyst removal, definitely not 6 week worth.

It has never been reported as an abscess. But medically an abscess is what makes sense. The surgery is the same. You still have to cut open someone's skull and remove it. So the chance of him playing football again is the same for both conditions.

quote:
That was no "cyst". That was a brain abscess. You don't get IV antibiotics for 6 weeks after a "cyst". And I don't see him ever being medically cleared for contact after a craniotomy.

Wasn't very optimistic.

Not saying this is true at all, but I know a nutritionist on the staff and she thinks he'll end up transferring
