I remember when 'bama came here and we wore all black that game. One of the defensive coaches for 'bama was at practiced and got caught on video saying "they're wearing black because it's gonna be their funeral".

And we know the rest of the story. All they have to do now is back it up like 'bama. This week is a test to see where we are as a program. I fully expect us to win if we are to compete with 'bama.

Bama would go in there and rip the luck charms a new @ss hole.

The quote seems more like the general mindset of the defense towards every opponent...nothing specific to ND. I like it either way.

That didn't come out before that game though and that was during practice. I have no problems with it just don't put it out to the media. There is nothing to gain from t.

And bullshite locker room material doesn't affect 18-22 year old dudes. Don't be ignorant. They are of course hyped for the game but extra juice never hurts.

Sure it does. There's a competitive reason people talk shite.

I love the Sanders quote, why should he care about the tradition of Notre Dame? I would've said the same thing he did.

I love that the leader of our defense is salty. I'm excited our guys are gonna come out and punish them. I have zero problem whatsoever with what he said. If that's not already the mentality of the defense, then there's a problem.

It's disrespectful that we're underdogs. Why are we nervous that their line is big and their receivers are 6'4"? They won 4 games last year....

We're going to go up there and curb stomp their arse and embarrass them on their home field.

I was watching a press conference with their RB, and Chip Towers asked him if he had heard about it. fricking tool.

I don't think what he said is over the top. I like that attitude. If you think you'll succeed or fail, you're probably right. Punish the bastages.

I'm not aware of anything that's really "trash talk" about this game thus far from either team. The ND RB said something like he's not aware of the legacy of UGA RBs or something... it could be real... Dude is from Warrington, PA... he's likely followed B1G football most of his life. Otherwise, most of the comments I've seen from ND players have been respectful of UGA's talent but that they're planning and preparing to go try and win a football game. Sanders' comments are no different. He's a defender who intends to go out and put in work... Most of the guys haven't been disrespectful of ND, just not "in awe" of them... As they should be.

Go practice, prepare, and come out on Saturday prepared to put in work. If that happens and we see a competitive product, the outcome has next to no bearing on how our season goes. Doesn't prevent an SEC championship, likely doesn't prevent even a CFP opportunity were we able to make it through the season with 2 or less wins and somehow win the SEC championship. All of that stuff is in our hands. I want a win because it would be a quality win on the road, but it's a pretty ideal situation in that it really doesn't have a lot of bearing on the overall season goals and if lost would be viewed as a "good loss" to a quality opponent so long as we don't get blown out.
