Richt said he's taking preventative measures with McKenzie. He's a freshman fielding punts in a hostile environment in his first SEC game. I think the plan is to slowly remove the training wheels.

Rumph is out with another hamstring pull. Maybe it's unfair because I'm not there, but I'm starting to get the impression that he's a little soft

That's called vaginatitus...

I can't remember Reggie making one bad decision. He fair caught when he should have and showed a little something on returns. Very surprised like I said.

IMO the coaches saw a deficiency in the Carolina coverage teams and they think IMac can exploit it better than Davis. If McKenzie can force their coverage team to spread out more in order to increase their chances of getting down field and covering before he can get going, it likewise increases our chances of blocking a punt. If Davis becomes our new version of Rhett McGowan (which is to say that he is going to wear the label of ole mr reliable) then that's cool with me. But McKenzie has the potential to be a real distraction/pain in the arse the same way Ace Sanders was the last time we visited Cola.

He is, suspended players are often still listed on the depth chart.

This. He was listed as #2 last week as well.

But don't be surprised when the suspension lifts that he takes that #2 spot.

We're Rumph and Shaq Fluker roommates? Drinking from the same water bottle, it seems. We're dicey at best on JUCO production. John Jenkins was iffy down the stretch. Floyd came from prep school so he doesn't count.
