Pretty sure that's what the logo was when my Dad was there in the 50's. He had an old suitcase in our basement I guess from his college days and it had a couple of stickers on it with that UGA dog and logo. The one that I remember the most was this one.....

I'm a sucker for these throwback logos. If anyone has a solid source for merchandise, please share.

pretty sure that this was not ever a logo that was officially used - your image was a cover for a game program back in the 50's iirc (before my time, born in 68)
in fact, I think my sig pic is the one that was used back then & that program cover you posted was a takeoff of the logo...
love the slide ruler and compass the nerd is carrying in you pic!
