Gunner also has stronger connections to Bobo

that's definitely true, but can we really expect a guy that talented with his resume to sit on the bench for years just because his family likes the OC? Not saying he will transfer, just saying that he could probabbly go start at a ton of other schools so he may want to see what's out there.

I damn sure hope so

We get them next year, then 2025 is up in the air

I don’t care if it’s a 3-6 or a 2-6 or whatever, we need to keep DSOR

Definitely agree but it is not written in stone that Beck stays for another year. I think that if Beck gets a favorable draft grade he’s gone. There are already rumors that Beck wants to be one and done. Reports say Stockton has a higher ceiling than Vandagriff and surpassed him in preseason camp according to “insider” reports.

literally nobody knows this yet.

The only thing we know abotu future schedules is the oponents we play next year in 2024. That's about it. The league still hasn't gotten their act together enough to decide how many permanent opponents we'll play yearly, or even if we'll play 8 or 9 games yearly. We simply don't know.

Explain to me how this will work in a 8 game schedule?

Looking like a 1 perm and 7 rotating currently.

If that's the case we'll only have 1 permanent and we'll play the other 14 home and away erry 4 years.

How will a 2 perm 6 rotating work in a 16 team league?

I wanna keep both but unless we go to 9 games I cant figure out how the Conference can work 2-6...

Wasn’t Gunner’s family connections more to do with Mike Bobo? I thought that was why Carolina was in it at that time.

The Sabans and others of the SEC that are voting down the 9 game schedule are fricking up. That and the SEC commissioner screwed up the contact with ESPN by not accounting for more conference realignment and therefore the conference is contracted to get the same amount of money for 9 games as they would for 8.

It should be a 9 game schedule. It makes the most sense and let's us keep our traditional rivals. They have already ruined the regionally of the sport, but taking away century old rivals would deserve a storming of the SEC HQ.

Yup...3 perm and 6 rotating would be awesome...

Could keep Aub, UF and maybe SCe. 3rd team could be 1 of several, wouldn't really want it to be ut...

SEC is negotiating with ESPN for more money for a 9 game league schedule. When ESPN fires enough people to give us more money, it'll be a 9 game schedule.

If he surpassed Vandagriff, why is Vandagriff ahead of him on the depth chart?

What am I missing? Would he declare for the draft?

Win a natty for the dawgs and soak up all the NIL you can.

Edit: pardon my ignorance I really didn't know he was a legitimate draft prospect

DSOR & WLOCP must be protected at all costs.

Would you support Carson coming back?

So your question is whether Georgia fans should welcome back a starting QB who, in his first year as a starter, is a top-10 QB in the country using almost ever metric and is currently 9-0?

The answer is yes.

I can’t explain that but they’re not my reports. I just read them.

I think we ALL would if that’s the choice…but, we won’t know until the end of the season whether or not that’s the choice. I prefer to think of it as having a leg up on most everyone else for a 4peat.

Gunners major connections to USCe and Tech are the Shaw family. Lee (absolute douche bag on every level, but a good football coach) was HC at Rabun County for many years. Lees son Jaybo went to Tech (sort of), and is now the OC or HC at Rabun County and Lees other son Connor, went to USCe. I think Bobos connection to all of them is that he recruited Jaybo pretty hard back in the day.

2-6 is unworkable in a 16 team league...

UF or AU would hafta be an out of Conference game to continue...

It is workable, it just means it takes a little longer to rotate teams, which is something I care zero about - I’ll take Auburn every year even if it means it takes 3 or 5 years to see Oklahoma, Arkansas or whoever else…

Waht I don't get is the 3-6 model works perfeclty and satisfies everyone

16 teams
so 15 opponents you're able to play against
you have 3 permanents, so now there's 12 other teams you're able to play against
Play 6 of them 1 year, 6 the next

-You will preserve every single traditional historical rival and any game of importance the fans want
-You will play every single team in the new 16 team league at least once every 2 years
-You will complete a full home/home cycle and both host and play at every single team within a 4 year recuirting class

It solves every single issue there is, except for TV networks wanting more money. Which should honestly be dead last on things to GAF about on the topic
