The injury suffered to Newton is the same back injury that Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo suffered earlier this season. Romo missed one game this season for the injury, however no timetable was given for how long Newton will be out, if at all.

He may or may not play Sunday.

Wtf does that mean though?

It's the part of the bone that sticks out the side of your vertebrae. It's not part of stabilizing or anything like that in an important way. Pretty much if I had to break something in my back, that's one of the things I'd prefer it to be

What it means as far as playing time, I doubt he'd be out too long like UGAalum posted above but who knows.

I hope Cam has a full recovery in about a month. I sure did enjoy watching Cam flash the Superman move and the smug smirk while running all over the home team Saints. Too funny!

Yea, regardless of him playing for Auburn and all that stuff, the man is an incredible athlete. I actually like watching him when he's playing well. That OL and his running is going to get him killed though.

On Mike and Mike they were saying since coming into the NFL he had been hit around 540 times or so and the next closest QB had been hit 270 or something like that over the same time period (this was a few weeks ago). That doesn't make for a long career.

Once his suits and brown shoes take over, he wont have to play another down. He will be the Black Belks...

Pretty good business plan if you ask me. He's gonna have them give out the Newton line as bowl gifts to start getting people hooked.

Wow a thread about Cam Newton wrecking gets turned into a fashion police thread. I bet y'all have salt life and yeti stickers on the back windows too. Amirite ?

I fricking hate the off-season

No shite!!!!

I swear at times the fashion talk on this site is so bad I want to put up track lighting and change the drapes in the living room. Black outs, brown shoes with blue suits....and we wonder why we are not in the playoffs....hell if we had gone 13-0 I don't know if we would have made the playoffs because we would be so busy trying to coordinate our game day apparel we would have failed to attend the game....

Wtf does that mean though?

It means the next time he tries to wear brown shoes with a gray suit his spine will bust out of his back ala "Alien" and he will never be in a position to strong arm the Auburn AD out of money again....
