95 near Hilton Head is impassible still. Lots of rain and trees down in Cola too. Charleston is getting damage pretty good

Weather Channel only reporting from the bigger coastal cities, charleston, svannah, jacksonville, which is understandable. But, wHen I went to bed at 3 am last night, it looked like the Beaufort, Fripp, Edisto, Hilton Head area was about to get the business end of this thing....

I got a bad feeling those areas are devastated.

My Edisto place was getting hammered and I lost camera feed. Waiting on word, but it was a big surge.

Jacksonville spared, so no issues for the cocktail party I guess. People who were planning to stay at the various beaches are shite out of luck though it looks

Saw that St. Mary's got pretty bad flooding. Any word or pics of how Jekyll and SSI faired?

They cut the power to Fripp before the storm rolled in. Bridges to Edisto, Fripp, and several others we closed. First responders went door to door on Edisto to let people know that as of Thursday at 3:00, first responders were evacuating inland and no help would be available in the storm; it was an effort to try and convince people who wanted to dig in to leave.

The worst of the rain looks to be done in Columbia, but we're still expected to get storm-force winds this afternoon. More trees are likely to come down.

No one can get home to CHS right now. They don't want them trying til Monday. 26 and 95 are both fricked up still. Only evacuees will be able to go to the game from the Lowcountry.
