Not really surprising if you account for the design. Fulton County was fully enclosed all the way around, which kept the wind blowing into the stadium to a minimum. At the TED, the outfield is wide open and the wind sweeps in and can keep balls in the field of play.

And didn't the TED give up like 25 more homers last year than KC's park? Just sayin....

No one ever blamed the HR production at old Fulton Co on the enclosed design back in the day...they always tried to link the altitude and humidty of the city to HR production.

Not saying your theory is wrong.I would like to see some comparisons between the older enclosed stadiums(3 Rivers,
Riverfront,The Vet,Shea) and their newer open field counterparts

The TV deal is what kills us and I think that runs for at least 10-15 more years.

Just my opinion, but they messed up when they dumped WTBS. It gave the nationwide exposure.....not only that, but now you have to look all over the place to find them on TV. I know this is not true, but it seems like they are on a different channel every night. Add to that Dish Network does not carry Peachtree TV anymore (I don't believe they picked it back up) and the Braves lose some of the exposure they had.

Probably gave up 25 more homers because the Ted didn't have the KC Royals playing every game there.

Pretty sure this is backwards. They dumped us as a "programming decision". Joined Fox on the deal to grab one of the League championships and some of the weekly national games.
