He had a good d this year, they are hiring penn states dc, kind of dumb to change up your system and create a learning curve in a year they should win the east.

His stats at UT weren't that bad, actually. They're buying out his contract. That makes 37 coaches on their buyout payroll, I believe.

I don't see why Shoop would go there after already turning down AU. He'd undoubtedly be an upgrade but I'll have to see it to believe it. Think it would be likelier that they get Chavis back than hiring Shoop.

Exactly. Those two programs couldn't be any more different at this point. No one wants to be DC for the Barn considering the defense will be on the field for 80% of the game and they will likely have to look for another job after next season when Gus gets fired.

Depending on his personal situation/preferences, sure. Way more talent at UT than PSU right now, and as far as I can tell, nobody likes James Franklin.

Only thing I could think of would be beef with Franklin. UT has more talent but I also feel he's on his way to being a HC and idk how much a lateralish move works

I saw from Joe Schad that Mel Tucker is a name to watch for UTSA. Could Kirby jump on Jancek now that he and UT have parted ways??

Rumors that Jancek has some Rush Propstian personal issues. Doubt UGa wants another one of those, if true.
