Are we better at any position group this year compared to the last two years?

Can you name a single position group from the '23 team that you believe superior to either of the '21 or '22 teams? MAYBE '23 Carson over '21 Stetson...maybe?

I would've said the secondary until Tykee Smith played pretty shitty yesterday. We need Tykee Smith not to play like he did yesterday and play like he did the first 4 games.

With McConkey back, WR is probably on par or maybe even a little better. Lovett is legit, Bell has stepped up, and RJS is healthy. And we’re pretty deep at every position. WR is a definite bright spot. The fact it hasn’t looked like it so far is just another reason I’m disappointed with Beck, and some of Bobo’s play calling (and play design). We should have WAY more production from the WR spot than we do. And that’s absolutely not been the WR’s fault.

Mews might be a slight improvement at KR/PR.

Punter is obviously the same.

Safety I think is as good or better. A healthy Bullard > Smith, and Starks is easily our best defensive player.

CB’s are probably on par. Mostly for the fact we would have had about 10 more PI’s from last year’s crew by this point in the season.

QB: No (Beck < Stet)
RB: Hell No (losing BR beyond hurts, and KM sucks bad enough that we’re giving more RB snaps to a WR and a white walk-on)
TE: No (Delp < Big 0)
OL: Hell No (even before the Mims injury, scrub DL’s been having their way with our OL for nearly 3 quarters of every game)

DL: Hell No (Mykel Williams is gonna be special, but aside from him, it’s a huge downgrade. And that’s probably an understatement.)
LB’s: Hell No (just look at yesterday’s game. It’s crazy that we don’t have a single LB that can go sideline to sideline or catch RB’s or even QB’s before they round the edge. Nor does it appear any of them are especially adept at getting sacks or TFL’s or pass coverage or even tackling. This has probably been our most underperforming unit, to be honest. RB unit can at least blame injuries. And crazy thing is, it’s mostly the same guys as last year. The difference might actually be the DL is so much worse that it’s making the LB’s look worse.)

K: No (Woodring < Podlesny)

Wait….. I thought it was all Bono’s fault?

What specifically about Bobo’s play calling?

We are what we saw on Saturday.

Less mobile QB, hurting at RB, not as fast on front side of Defense.

Secondary has to be better.

We can’t count on leaning on the other team with our RBs late in game.

Hopeful defense can improve on pressure and containment.

Mews better ! Possibly when he’s not fumbling the ball or chasing after it has bounced . Bring back Ladd when healthy back there . I like Mews he’s explosive but he’s to risky

I'm expecting back to back Heisman's from that group TBH.
