no, that's not true

AD stating beaurocratic BS that has to be followed and may take YEARS...Pruitt states that FSU did it in 7 months.

7 months from the time they broke ground. Did not include planning, budgeting, and all that mess that goes along with it.

Seems like a very frustrated Pruitt (and Ekeler) spoke out of turn.

Might get interesting.

"Dammit Mark, why did you have to go out and hire somebody who is going to actually hold us accountable to compete with the best?"

It has been clear that basketball is not a huge priority at UGA, it is sad our football program is about 80% of what it could be.

Might not be far from the truth.

Seriously. The AD has never had someone speak out on how much the football program is being hamstrung like this

Should this be retitled the "Pruitt vs. McGarity Thread"? Does ham handing the handling of this strain relations with Pruitt? I'd hate to lose that M'F'er after one season. There's probably not a huge chance of that but it would be par for the UGA course for it to happen.

It is pretty simple to me, if the AD wanted it to get down by practice, he could get it done.

Sounds like he is ambivalent on timing. Pruitt knows it is important.

I hope Pruitt is not prideful, might cause friction later.

I am down with CJP shaking things up. After less than a year on the recruiting trail, it's obvious that he's tired of hearing these kids tell stories about how the other schools are using the lack of an IPF as ammo against the Dawgs. I hope McGarrity get frustrated as shite at being pushed along off his burro by Pruitt and gets shite done anyway.

I'm thinking this recent coach outburst has the approval and support of one Corch Mike Ridge..

I don't think for one second this guy won't move on if Georgia doesn't get it's crap together.

Clearly, Jeremy Pruitt was extremely angry yesterday. Richt in his calm demeanor, "Now coach Pruitt, calling the AD out isn't the Georgia way. Just stay calm and comfortable and you will have a job here as long as you want, win or lose."

This practice facility has been kicked around for years. The AD dept needs to stop hoarding funds and build the damn thing so that we are competitive with other SEC schools. Scrooge McGarity has the money.

When Pruitt manages to do the simple things like telling our DB's to knock he ball down on 4th, then he can tell us how we as a university should make investments that we have to live with and pay for many many years after his oily arse is long gone.

Or when he does things like hold Auburn to 7 points? Pretty damn hard to argue against his results this year given what he has to work with in the secondary. And it's an investment we need to make regardless of whether Pruitt was here or not. If he gets a little fire lit under their asses, I'm all for it.

Like Peter said, Pruitt's already gotten one guy in the AD fired, and if he keeps this shite up and starts causing problems with regents, he'll end up leaving this place in shambles when he moves on to his next best greatest thing, like most snake oil salesmen.
