This situation will or should be setteled out of court and no one will be privvy to details. Both parties will go on with their lives just as before. Absolutley no reason for lives to be destroyed over this one issue.

You have no facts. How could you possibly say this? If she was raped, his life should be ruined, as hers was ruined.

Unfortunately, already has. Look at the media. "Accused" is as good as guilty, esp in the eyes of the metoo types. If it comes out that he is innocent, his lawyer should go on a frenzy - starting with her, the media, and the influencers who are attempting to sway public opinion.

This was posted elsewhere and I responded to it, which I will post afterward-

Guy from the Bama 247 board who’s known AA since he was in 9th grade sent a Dawgs 247 mod the following message: “Here’s what I can tell you about Adam. I’ve known and been close with him since his 9th grade year. My wife and I practically helped the kid get qualified to play college ball. I’ve spent a bunch of time and resources with Adam as a friend/mentor. Adam is one of the most quality human beings I know. I’ve never seen him have a violent bone in his body. I’ve never seen him not smile in all honesty. I know a troll a lot but you can take this to the bank, if Adam kicked someone’s ****, he had to have a good reason. I would be shocked if he ever put his hands on a woman. He knows better. He’s the type of kid that worked a part time job to help his mom pay for his deaf brothers hearing aid because she couldn’t afford it. I’ve never heard anyone say a bad thing about Adam. Has he smoked a joint before? Absolutely. Has he ever had a problem or addiction? Absolutely not. I’d stake my reputation on Adam any day of the week. If these rumors going aware had any merit at all I’d be more shocked about that than anything in my life. My wife and I speak to Adam at least once a month. The only thing I can say for certain right now is I’ve called him and left him a message to call me. Just wanted to send this to you since you are a mod. I have run hating on our rivalry but can’t sit but watching these rumors fly on an outstanding young man”

Same guy follows up on a post on their board about him missing practice and this is after he called him I’m assuming, “Adam has not been arrested. He’s having a rough time and he’s taking a mental break. Some stuff did go down but it’s not near what’s been rumored on the Georgia board.”

Here's my response-

I also have known AA19 since the 9th grade and know who the Bama guy is. He definitely is closer to AA19 than I am.

All that being said, I 1000% stand behind every word the Bama guy wrote. I’ve never had a different experience with AA19 than he has had.

The whole thing is weird.

I want to comment more, but what is there to say?

The only way I could find against Anderson is if he drugged her. That does not seem to be the case based on the statements.

People need to be aware of where they are, if they are going to drink.

Steve will do his best to get this resolved rapidly..regardless of what occurred. His main job at this point will be to get all the evidence in fast enough to convince DA not to charge at all. That is his job. As you noticed, he already started pointing out inconsistencies from the gun.

The odds of this going to a trial are extremely small. Like it or not..it’s now high profile and this female’s name will come out.

It’s just sad all around. Hoping for the best resolution for both them.

The thing he, if he's innocent, he's tarnished. Look at all the ones who were falsely accused. Once again, if he is innocent. And if he is, then examples should be made of.

She’s probably been paid by the REC in an attempt to weaken our defense.

What if she was simply passed out drunk and he was doing it to an unconscious girl? That's the more common scenario. [See: Brock Turner, entitled Stanford swimmer who got 6 months and served 3 for same]

Still comes down to who believes whom...unless there are witnesses or circumstantial evidence.

I don't take much stock in these kinds of statements. Almost every time someone is accused of a serious crime that makes the media, there is someone who says that the person would never do it. There were literally people who were close to Ted Bundy and made similar statements about his character and how they found it literally impossible that he could have done such things.

Not saying anything about this particular case...just saying that the shocked or disbelieving friends or family are kind of par for the course.

And there are those in media/influencers/etc that have already made up their mind and labeled him as guilty just because...

More rape complaints wind up unfounded or too murky to pursue than wind up substantiated. Just food for thought. I hope the truth comes out ASAP so we can move on from this - either way.

I haven't seen anyone coming out and saying that but it's definitely true that simply being accused can be image-ruining. There ought to be some rules about keeping things like this completely confidential until/unless someone is charged. That wouldn't solve the problem totally but it's especially unfair that it's made public when it's not even decided if there's enough evidence to charge.

What the lawyer is saying is that she told the EOO at UGA that she was unconscious during the whole thing and told the police that she was awake for part of it.
Because logically, any actual investigator’s next question would have been: “If you were unconscious during the whole thing, how could you know who raped you?”

So she had to change her story to fill that story-breaking hole. Which is the tell tale sign of lying.

When something is true, your story doesn’t have holes like that and there’s nothing to change to make it suddenly plausible again.

This inconsistency is a bigger deal than many realize. Especially if there are no actual witnesses that physically saw him penetrating her while she was effectively unconscious/asleep.

No? All I’m saying is that it’s highly irregular for a defendant and his attorney to make this kind of press release before trial if they have a strong case. Aggressively discrediting an accuser before trial can backfire, so therefore, there is zero reason to risk it if you have a strong case.

Maybe they have a good reason even if he has a strong case, but this is typically the type of behavior you expect from someone who has a weak case and tries the “throw shite at the wall and see what sticks” approach.

This very well could be Duke Lacross 2006 scenario.
If not the should cut off his weapon of choice.

It’s calculated either way. Criminal defense isn’t pretty. That lady’s attorney will know what they are in for on the civil side. The DA does get swayed by public opinion. The fact they haven’t charged means likely DNA pending still and/or there are some conflicts in determining it was criminal.

Beyond that, reminder the school itself has their investigation and ruling to make.

This drags out for a while.

sadly I feel like he ain't going to be playing for us this season. At this point he's fighting for his life and NFL dreams. Would love to have him back(assuming he's innocent of course) but I don't see him back in red and black
