Nearly four in 10 people living in Georgia would prefer to move away, a newly released Gallup poll has found.

I left and never went back. I grew up in a small town in Georgia and I couldn't wait to leave. The drugs are rampant, the schools were terrible, the racial divide in the town was chaotic at times and there was literally nothing to do unless you planned to travel. The closest mall was 2/3 hours away. The closest zoo was 1:30 away. Did I mention the amount of meth and crack in the area was unreal. The cops for the most part were crooked. The reason I say this is because a known crack spot was right beside our courthouse ever since I was child and guess what....it is still there. Our sheriff was arrested for being involved in drug deals and shady business and he was the sheriff for many many years. The mayor has been the mayor since I was a child in the good ole boy town and has never done shite to fix the issues that the town has and if anything our business which is primarily factories seems to be dying a slow death. It was a fairly decent manufacturing town back when railroads still ran the majority of the transportation of goods but not being close to an interstate really hampers the growth and industry potential. That being said, I still visit from time to time because I have family in Georgia but I don't miss it one bit. I have lived in Kansas, Mississippi, Texas, Pennsylvania, and now I live in the Panhandle of Florida and for a long time I was homesick but when I go home now it makes me sad. There is literally nothing to do outside of visit and leave. I would rate Kansas and Florida as my best experiences and Georgia would be a sentimental 3rd and it has nothing to do with the people because there are some good people in Georgia I just prefer to live in a more populated area with more things to do. That being said, if I could find a job in Savannah or Athens I would move back but I would never go back home.

What can I say, I enjoy a good zoo.

I currently have one about 5 minutes from my house and my kids love it.

I haven't been to a zoo since I was in like 3rd grade. I feel like zoo's present good day drinking opportunities. How strict are they typically on alcohol?

.

Most I believe would be alcohol free. It's more of a kid friendly family thing. My 5 year old loves it and has probably been abut 20 times. We also frequent Disney in Orlando and he loves Animal Kingdom. We normally bring lunch and have a picnic and let the boys play at the petting zoo and in the bird areas at the local zoo. It's really more for the kids I was just trying to think of attractions that just shows how desolate of an area I grew up in.

My 5 year old has been probably 6 or 7 times to Disney already. He still loves the safari ride.

We are going back in November because my wife is running in the Disney half marathon.

I can only imagine. She wants me to run it with her and earlier this year I ran 8 miles in one sitting but I don't think I could get up to 13. So I think I am just going to go and drink and have a good time.

I think it is the princess half marathon but not 100percent. She has been planning on it for a while.
