Because you stated we would fall off in OOS recruiting if we stopped being in the hunt. It's an asinine point to make

How so? Makes since why we would fall off if we don’t win a Natty in the next few years. Everyone here trust Kirby to get it done, including recruits. You can only feed these recruits this for so long until other schools who are winning (Clemson) starts negative recruiting against us and it being effective. If we aren’t a top team, then we don’t get all these prime time spots we get on tv. I’m sure some kid in Arizona doesn’t watch SEC Network as much as our area.

I promise you that the fans care way more about winning a championship than an 18 yro recruit who wants to go to college and prepare for the NFL.

We also got Zach Evans. It’s not like we missed on him. He just ended up making some poor decisions so we had to let him go. I don’t mind it at all. Gotta take risks sometimes. Worked out with Pickens, didn’t with Evans.

True. With all the drama surrounding him I had actually forgotten that we had him at one time. We may look back on him and be happy we let him go. Either way, I am happy with the two we got.

I'm not. I have no problem with your opinion. I just find it odd that this is even a concern. I usually don't get upset with somebody's opinion.

I think if you check the players we are in on, you will see a marked change this coming year. That said, it's hard to know how all of this is going to play out. Ironically, the Coronavirus thing could actually play in our favor. Parents might want to keep their kids closer to home with something like this floating around. (I even hesitate to insinuate that something like this sickness could have any kind of upside in any way)

Clemson is pretty much getting who they want, and who could use it against us? The only two schools that have been winning is Alabama and Clemson. Other schools appear to be one hit wonders as a whole that might win one every 10 years or so.

In the last 10 years the only schools that have won a NC is FSU, OSU and Auburn, and FSU and Auburn don't look to be a threat to win one any time soon. If we stay close and look like we are close we will get our share of top rated kids.

I may be off base but I think you'll see a bunch of kids staying closer to home the next year or 2 because of our current situation. Even if everything opens up in June/July and we are back to a sense of normal a bunch of mommas are going to less likely to be cool with their baby going from California to Georgia or vice versa.
