One of my kids busted up his pinky finger during a tackle playing high school football. Bad enough to need surgery and have pins placed in it to straighten it out.
He played defensive end, so he was able to play relatively quickly using a ginormous club over his hand.
Pinky never did heal right and you can definitely tell it's been broken.
Fields needs to go to a very good surgeon and really take his time with the healing process. Otherwise it could be a problem.

I broke my finger and it's permanently curved. The ladies love it, if you know what I mean.

Man I hope this kids throwing motion is gonna be ok. That would be the absolute last thing he or us needs.

I dislocated my finger bowling. Felt the damn thing go backwards and snap back. Hurt like hell and I haven't bowled since. He's screwed for bowling.
