I believe we can flip Justin Fields if CKS and the staff try hard enough and we make it to ATL at the of the year

It's awfully early to have a "prove it" year, but to some degree I agree with you here. For us to keep recruiting at the pace that we want and need to, Smart needs the team to have a pretty impressive bump in on field performance this year. The road schedule is a bit tougher this year obviously, but the schedule overall is favorable still IMO.

We're not getting Lawrence.

So now his momma's top 2 are his....and both had UGA in their top 2. What a start to the summer if we could land him. He could also draw TLaw back to the good guys......

I honestly would prefer to see us go hard at Fields at this point. If TLaw selected Clemson even with their depth chart and lack of offensive system fit, he's drinking the orange Kool aid pretty heavy. The pitch to Fields is easier to say we don't have anyone on campus who can do what you do. A year to sit behind Eason, assuming he progresses as anticipated then battle it out with Fromm. If Eason has worse struggles than expected (this would hurt elsewhere so obviously not preferable), then could be trying to take the job on day 1.

ETA: none of this is really even accounting for Fromm either. Not discounting what he can or may do, but I think we all want 3 very capable QBs on the roster at any given time.

I was about to post the same thing. We are now on 7 CB's in a row for White(including Kipp, Jake Rowe, and JC Shurburtt).

I'm with you. I'd much rather have somebody unique like Fields. I don't think we can flip Lawrence, and it remains to be seen what Lawrence will do when/if Dabo leaves Clemson for something like Bama, should Saban not have time for that shite.

Shurburttttttt says it's UGA right now unless something crazy happens.

I would expect a few ebbs and flows in the next couple months

We're certainly getting some reputable CB's. I'm curious what Rusty thinks...

Rusty basically said that UGA is looking good right now but there's a long way to go. I think Rusty will switch his CB over the next month or so if we continue to trend.

White's going to miss another big Clemson recruiting weekend because he wants to go to the Duke/UNC basketball game. That's a big boost for us.

There's a TON of time between now and late June, so I'm not putting a ton of stock in any CBs coming in now. I think it's great that the pendulum has swung our way, but it can just as easily and quickly swing back to Clemson and then back again.

This is going to be a fierce recruitment between Kirby and Dabo.

I know clemson is in better shape than us right now overall, but looking at our RB and OL depth charts for '18 it sure seems like we have a more desirable situation.

Yeah, but 5*s go to Bama when they have no shot at immediate playing time.

I would call us the slight favorite right now, but if I think it's almost a coin flip.

I would have to disagree with you here.... The only thing they have to go on is they won the NC, and they have new recruiting facilities. Oh and that they have T Law committed.

So, they don't have an edge because they have a National Championship, New/better facilities and a commitment?

Please tell me you are being sarcastic?

They had all of that this year, we still outrecruited them. Just in case you haven't forgotten, in the last 7 years counting the West End Zone Project, UGA will have spent almost 150 million on facilities. I don't think facilities are going to be an issue at UGA, at least not any longer.

UGA does need to massively upgrade their players lounge, locker room, and weight room in my opinion. Perhaps the training room needs an upgrade.

I can't fully embrace this sentiment until McGarity and the last of his kind are swept from the building.

Yep, and I also noticed our average was better than their class as well, 92.71 to 92.09.
